Date: 2008-06-25 05:52 pm (UTC)Screw them. If they're going to be this stupid, I'll just download the uncut, commercial-less versions. I prefer those anyway.
Seriously. This smacks of utter stupidity. I was guessing they'd take the 5 days and air it over 5 weeks or something. What I'm really worried about now is will this impact getting Series 3 on US DVD?
ARGH! I need one of those 'Ianto Jones demands an explanation for this bullshit!' icons...

Date: 2008-06-25 06:34 pm (UTC)And then we have the other extreme here with your outrage. It's great :-) I think it's probably true that they'll pick it up, just don't want to make the announcement yet. But you'd think with the previous success they'd jump on it immediately.

Date: 2008-06-25 06:42 pm (UTC)Similar stuff is going on over at torch_wood too. I jumped over there right after I read your post.
I'm pretty sure they'll pick it up, but if not, Sci-fi probably would. Either way, I'm still downloading because I have a fundamental distrust that American media might end up cutting something or editing things, and I'd like to have the BBC copy just to be sure I'm not missing anything juicy.
I seem to be having a lot of knee-jerk emotional Torchwood reactions lately. *G* Sorry about that! I just watched a new teaser clip for DW 4x12 though, and 'HOLY CRAP!' is all I can say...

Date: 2008-06-26 03:06 am (UTC)They what? The news has been out that there's going to be a series 3 for a while now, you'd think they'd know whether or not they're going to pick it up. And as much buzz as I was seeing around MediaWest and as much as I see around my friendslist, I can't think that it'd have a small enough audience that they wouldn't find it worth the money...
D'oh!!!!
