It's 4am...
Sep. 18th, 2008 04:25 amIt's 4am... do you know where your tg is?
She just got back from waiting many hours at the vets. I was asleep for 15-30 minutes then Mom woke me up. Sugar looked like she was having one of her hairball episodes tonight (she went to vet earlier on Wed and got Rabies shot) but she was completely nonresponsive and breathing so hard. So we took her to the emergency clinic. Were worried it might have been a reaction to the shot.
They did x-rays and they're doing an enema and she's having a cardiogram sometime today once the cardiologists get in. I SWEAR this is exactly like what happened last time we took her to the other emeregency place (though that time, no enema- sp?). Anyhoo, the x-rays showed she had an enlarged heart this time... and I swear that's why we did the cardiogram last time, and it showed nothing. It was just a shadow on the x-ray. So I'm HOPING it's the same thing time and she's okay.
But better safe than sorry. So far the bill's $1,400. But she'll feel better and she was so miserable- if not for the fast breathing I swear I paniced and thought she was dead for a second tonight. She didn't move or respond or anything even when you petted her. It was spooky.
Anyhoo... exhausted... sleeping now... no more worrying about Sugar kitty until tomorrow morning...
