Trip to Chicago & LEGO Madness

tarotgalWell, it's official! I'm heading to Chicago to see the Harry Potter Exhibition in mid-August! Several friends have gone already and raved about it.
I'm looking forward to it, but it's going to be a LONG trip. We're leaving on the 18th, driving for 13 hours, seeing the exhibition on the 19th, then driving back another 13 hours on the 20th. I should be getting back LATE on the 20th and the LEGO convention, BrickFair, opens that night (so I'll miss that- eek!). But on the morning of the 21 I'll head over to BrickFair and set up my creations. I'm worried to death that I won't have the creations finished in time... but I sure hope I do. I'm making a LEGO Slytherin Common Room with some of the lake above it and a Gryffindor Common Room with some of the dorm room above it. Both are going to be Marauders Era pieces with Snape, Remus, Sirius, Peter, James, and Lily.
So... that's what I'm looking forward to during that week.
On another note, I've come up with a few new story ideas, one of which I'm REALLY excited about but terrified to start. I've never been so scared to write anything. I'm scared it will be crap once I start writing it. I'm thinking I might pick out a blank writing journal and start writing it longhand to maybe unblock myself a little. *crosses fingers*
