Magical Acts of Kindness

tarotgalFrom October 1-7 the Harry Potter Alliance is doing a magical acts of kindness project (MAKs). I'm planning on doing at least one act of kindness a day, and I have a list of 7 right now. But I would LOVE people to suggest some things so I have lots of ideas to choose from.
The idea is to do a nice, random act of kindness. Like baking school custodians cookies to thank them for their service.
I'm going to be volunteering at the AIDS Walk on the Saturday of that week and would love to do something special there but don't know what. Usually some company donates donuts and coffee for the volunteers, so that's out (plus I can't get on site until 8am and by then everyone's already had breakfast and are running around crazy getting things set up as the first walkers/teams arrive).
Also, there's a Humane Society thrift store & shelter down the street. I have a copy of Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul that I was thinking it would be nice to give them along with something else. But something else what? A donation? Something they need? I don't want everything I do to be about money, or I'll go broke.

- Send an Any Soldier Package
- Have a day where all I do is sit and write feedback for as many art/fics/vids as I can.
- On Wednesday, go to my local comic book shop and give them a $20 bill. Ask them to take $5 off the next 4 people's purchases.
- Buy candy jars for the volunteer stations at the two libraries where I volunteer. And buy pens for the cups at those stations since we never have enough pens and have to fight with each other just to do the lists/sign in. LOL
