Working on my LotR story... it's supposed to be about Aragorn, but all that seems to be happening is Aragorn falling asleep and Gimli and Legolas going at it together while they have the privacy. LOL It figures. But at least something's being written, right? Constant something is better than nothing even if the nothing proves to be excellent when I finally get around to writing it.

Anyhoo. Watched my Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe DVD. Excellent. I didn't notice any cut lines (which is not to say there weren't any, just that I didn't notice any) and there were a number of lines and extra whole scenes put in that I'd not seen before in the tv version- including one at the end with the new kings and queens and Aslan leaving that I loved because it really had more of the spirit of the book. All those extra bits (at least 10) more than makes up for the few lines they cut in Silver Chair. Happy me!
I'm starting to really like Digory Kirke. He's a little eccentric and odd as a professor, but he's such an interesting character, and he got some of the extra lines tonight which made me warm up to him as an adult a lot. I love falling in love with a character for the first time :-) *gets urge to re-read Magician's Nephew right now*

I've also been very intreigued by Jadis in the movies... at least, the 3 of the 4 she's in. I like how the snake and green colors are done so consistently... leading up to her appearance in Silver Chair as the Green Lady. And all the very celtic snakes adoring the White Witch's castle swallowing their tails- symbolizing never-ending cycles (hinting that she's not actually as dead as she seems). OK maybe that's the English minor in me, but still, that sort of attention to detail impresses me much! I can only HOPE that the new Chronicles of Narnia movies that are currently in production are just as good. Everyone complains that these old ones had horrible special effects and the new ones will have great ones. But I never thought the old ones were that bad for their limitations. At least I knew half the people were real and not computer generated and that there was a real, physical Aslan. I'm worried that the new movies will overshadow details and dialogue and such with special effects. I hate it when movies do that. For example, I MUCH prefer the fawns and centaurs of the BBC Narnia productions to the one in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone because at least they look real even if they don't look absolutely perfect. At least it's still a real actor you see! That's actually my least favorite part of the HP1 movie. Poor Firenze!

Think I might start rewatching season 3 of Queer as Folk from the beginning... making it last. I've got eps 9 and 10 to watch still, but I really do want to make it last as long as possible. LOL I watched a Stargate SG1 episode from season 4 today- and hopefully this Monday on SciFi I'll catch one of the two season 2 eps I've not yet seen, then the next week the other one. Yay!
I'll, ah, stop rambling now and get back to writing :-)

Yay for Aragorn story *s* I can't wait to read it, tarotgal! I have one that's bugging me, too, but it'll just have to wait till July. So reading yours will be very, very cool *g*

*g* I'm all excited now!! Not even June? *resists the urge to bounce around* Wow... I think I will save it till just before I freak out from exams, and then I will have something wonderful and comforting to read!

I love PWPs *g* And I'm sure you'll end it nicely... you are such a talented writer!

And, we'll see what happens about mine *l* It will be done early July if I'm good, or earlier if I'm bad and the plot-bunnies bite too hard and too fiercely.
