Fantastic Mr. Fox

tarotgalI saw Fantastic Mr. Fox tonight. Very funny, clever, totally crazy, and a good time. I wasn't sure I'd like it... but I was kind of amazed at how much I laughed and enjoyed it! I definitely recommend it.
Afterward the group went up to have coffee and I totally developed a crush on one of the lads who I met for the first time tonight. Such a cutie (actually, I'd go as far as to say dead sexy in a sweater). And he's a writer. And loves books. And entertaining thrillers on audiobook. And movies. And muppets. And Sci-Fi. And Star Wars audio dramas. And actually knows stuff about hockey. We had some conversations that felt good. And I just checked out his profile pic: he's got a blue Honda Element (my dream car! I settled for the dark red as that was the only Element at the dealer). And he's single. Is this fate or what? Problem is, he's apparently also a born again Christian. He's a member of, like, a gazillion Christian meetup groups (so it's not just, like, a passing interest. It's a HUGE part of his life). So... *sigh* Ah well. Not for me. But up until then, I was all excited *G*
There are just some lines I draw. Slytherins I can handle. A guy who thinks LOST is brilliant, I can cope with. I could even manage a guy who loves Twilight. But the religious views and politics can't be at odds. Those are just too intrinsic to me.
I have a friend who wants to set me up with her vegetarian, book-loving Star Trek geek friend, though. So you never know. Maybe I'll be in nerdfighterlike one day.
Where was I again? Oh yeah. Fantastic Mr. Fox. Brilliant. Though I especially enjoyed the young girls sitting behind us in the theater who whispered "this is based on a book?" to each other *facepalm*
