Apparently, staying up worked. It went live at 4am instead of 3am but my favorite part of the whole thing was sitting with Harry Potter fans, all talking about it and refreshing like mad. My username is going to be NimbusNettle132. Not too bad. Once again, I don't like the idea of making it exclusive, ever for beta testing, though. Just want to go on record with that.
In other words, my extra LJ userpics expired and I re-purchased them, but it says it's still unpaid and I haven't been able to touch them yet. I don't ever remember it taking this long for money to go from PayPal to LJ. Kind of annoying. I'll be patient and see what happens in a day or two.
Despite staying up until 4:30-something and having cramps that make me want to crawl right back into bed, I've got a packed day! I've got to go get bags of ice for the coolers, then prepare some fruit and load the cars up with stuff for the party (I'm bringing all the fixings so we can make Knickerbocker Glories). Then I have to drive to Potomac Mills and take my MOC down from display there at the LEGO Store (it's big and requires three trips out to the car). Then I have to drive back home, drop off the LEGO MOC and head straight out to Harry Potter's birthday party. It's going to be a SUPER HOT day, and I'm not really looking forward to all the running back and forth or playing Quidditch in the heat.
