Sons of Anarchy

Yeah. I'm completely in love with Sons of Anarchy. I can't remember who told me to watch this show--possibly someone at the NaNoWriMo Thank God It's Over lunch? I don't know. But I love it. I'm on episode 7 and only just realized that the handsome main character, Jax, played Nathan (the Justin character) in Queer as Folk UK. I'm having trouble reconciling the two characters in my mind--not because of the gay sex but because of the different accents. LOL And now it's making me want to rewatch all of Queer as Folk UK.

I should really watch the Doctor Who Christmas special... I really want to... but maybe one more SoA episode first... guh. So good...

Sons of Anarchy is on my list of shows to start as every other person at work is either talking about that or The Walking Dead or Breaking Bad. I just started the Walking Dead about a month ago and devoured all the episodes and now I am all caught up and waiting for it to come back from break.

You also said that you finished Battlestar Galactica which reminded me of an episode of Portlandia where the two characters start watching and can't stop and wind up losing their jobs because the forget to go into work because they are too engrossed in the show.

So, yeah, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Battlestar, and Mad Men are all shows I want to watch some day.

I have watched that Portlandia sketch, like, 30 times now (including when it first aired). It's hilarious and I love that two of the actors were there (I love when actors don't take themselves too seriously). I watched the first few episodes of Breaking Bad. It was very... how do I put it... icky? And then there was this scene with a bathtub that... oh my god, I still have flashbacks to. I'm told there's one worse scene than the bathtub scene in later seasons and that it's worth making it through to the rest, but I just can't make myself right now. It was... so horrible. And I never thought I was the squeamish type, but that was beyond what I could stand.

I'm not a zombie fan, so I have no interest in The Walking Dead.

But I loved Mad Men (the first season was my favorite, though) and Battlestar. And Sons of Anarchy is absolutely fantastic so far.
