Calling all Doctor Who fans!
May. 7th, 2013 11:22 pmI am not good at deciding. Here are some AWESOME fabrics: http://www.spoonflower.com/tags/doctor%20who?image=design&page=1&t=doctor+who
What would look the best for a shower curtain in a small bathroom with beige walls and a beige with floral design tile floor? The countertop is beige, the toilet is white, and the vanity cabinet is medium brown wood. The shower curtain needs to be 2 yards long, so it should be a large-ish pattern and not look TOO busy. And there are already sunflowers and clocks in the works. And a certain portrait of Eleven.
Anybody got a favorite or two amongst all of these awesome designs? My doctor is Ten, if that helps at all. And I do love Captain Jack *G*

Date: 2013-05-08 04:28 am (UTC)There's a floral border around the top of the bathroom, and I've tried to remove it and it's not budging easily. So that's going to be a huge project. But I was thinking maybe this instead: http://dreamwalldecor.com/Blue-Outer-Space-Wallpaper-Border¤cy=USD&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shop&utm_campaign=feed
I mean, that instead of the flowers. Not that instead of a shower curtain. LOL I'm still going to need one of those one way or another (the shower is abnormally large so no standard shower curtain will fit it and it's even an inch short in the extra long ones I've found. So I'm going to have to go the custom route anyway. Might as well make it match my Whovian theme!)

Date: 2013-05-08 11:57 am (UTC)Hello sweetie
Exterminate
Tardamask
I think you might be able to get away with a smaller repeating print, and the Tardamask will blend in with nearly anything, but the Exterminate does have the appeal of the iconic election image (red/blue, bold portions of color, emphasis on lines). I'd make throw pillow covers out of Hello sweetie or the Tardis toille, so you have a complementary Dr. Who-themed fabric in another room.

Date: 2013-05-08 04:52 pm (UTC)Yeah, I would stay away from anything too white, and that one (doctor damask 1 vlarge) definitely crosses the line for me by a mile.
Imho, gallifrey's line is too generic sci-fi/space to me if you're going for a deliberate DW theme. But I pretty much prefer all the ones that are mostly the TARDIS and nothing else, so that's my bias.
On page 6 I like 'Tardis spin in blue space'
on page 4 I like 'Police box -blue galactic swirl' - this one even looks like a tile pattern to me.
oh, Tardis damask on page 5 is nice too, and would fit floral.
