I'm Hufflepuff, of course (I never sort otherwise), but apparently I'm 34% Gryffindor! I would have suspected to be higher on Ravenclaw than Gryffindor.

79% Hufflepuff, 34% Gryffindor, 11% Ravenclaw, and 9% Slytherin (only 2% of people got lower Slytherin scores than I did LOL).

Oh thank goodness, I finally scored myself a Ravenclaw!

I have 2 different Pottermore accounts and I got sorted into Gryffindor both times, which is extremely unusual for sorting results for me. I just don't feel like a Gryffindor though, so it really lessens my motivation for playing there.

How is Pottermore? Is it addictive? Last year a bunch of girls at work were super excited about it and waiting to get picked when it was in beta. Then I didn't hear anything about it for a while so I don't know if they got tired of it or what.

It's super boring. I was a beta tester (got in with the early bunch of betas as well, in fact). I like it because of the bonus information JKR releases--like McGonagall's backstory and the concept of hat stalls. But I'm crap at making potions (the program is very sensitive and it takes HOURS to brew a potion--one slight move and you have to go get money for ingredients and start over again). I'm not good at spells either. I am stuck on book 2 because I can't brew myself polyjuice to get into the Slytherin common room for the plot.

Friends seem more frustrated than I am with it because they're not Hufflepuffs (Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders) and have trouble seeing/finding some of the key items along the way.

I got sorted Hufflepuff there, but a lot of friends got sorted into the wrong houses. There are lots of stupid 50/50 questions like "black or white?" and the quiz doesn't take your desires into account the way the sorting hat does in the books!

Also, it's not so stunning, visually. Yes, the graphics are beautiful, but there are no characters shown ever, unless it's a subtle, black silhouette. This allows you to picture your own versions of the characters, but it's silly sometimes. And the graphics have their limitations. In the scene in the zoo for book 1 when you vanish the glass the snake just lifts its head, doesn't slither away or anything, because that would have been much harder to draw/program. It's not a real game--it's a means to discover new information and to experience the stories in a different way.

I find it annoying and boring and if it weren't for a discussion we had in my local Harry Potter meetup group about a character, I wouldn't have bothered going back in to see if new info had been released (it hadn't). And now I'm stuck and depressed about it.

Interesting! I have a tough time sorting you. I would have expected all four of those values to be closer together, numerically, with Gryffindor taking a lead. Is this the first time you've ever taken a sorting quiz? (Pottermore is one of the least reliable sorting quizzes ever LOL)

Yay! Congrats on your Ravenclawness :-) I'm really not fond of Pottermore's sorting in general. But as I'm stuck unable to get into the Slytherin common room in book 2, now I wish Pottermore had sorted me there instead of Hufflepuff.

I guess I could create a new account and answer all the questions relating to Merlin; then I'd get Slytherin for sure. But that's a lot of effort just to get to interview Draco Malfoy.

I've taken some others. I think the results have been mostly Ravenclaw and Gryffindor but honestly I can't remember. :)
