3. An After

They’ve been out all day in the snow, interviewing, looking for clues that might help them narrow down the possibilities of what they might be up against. The motel room is out of the wind and the snow, but Sam’s still cold in bed without Dean beside him. “Dean?”

Sam hears a toilet flush then the water in the bathroom sink resumes running. A minute later, Dean slides back into bed with a hot water bottle filled with hot tap water. He presses it against Sam’s front and Sam crosses his arms over his chest to hold it close. A moment later, Sam stops shivering. And the misery drains from him. Dean wraps his arms around Sam so that the hot water bottle and Sam’s arms are trapped tight between them. The hot water bottle sloshes about.

“Better?” Dean asks. He needs to ask. He can tell by the way Sam relaxes into him, looking sleepy now instead of shivery. But he still needs to ask, needs to hear it. Sam understands.

“Better,” Sam agrees. And upon hearing it, Dean gives a little moan.

Sam chuckles, dips his head, kisses Dean’s forehead. His arms are trapped, but his legs are free. He shifts about and rubs his thigh against Dean’s crotch.

“Oh,” Dean sighs. “So much better than spending the night in that cemetery.”

“Take your shorts off.”

“Mmph,” Dean rocks his hips, bends his knees, rubs against Sam, but he doesn’t get his shorts off because he doesn’t take his arms away from around Sam. “Fuck it,” he says, too tired to put more effort into the endeavor. But he thrusts forward, rubbing, frotting. Sam slides the hot water bottle down a little more. The heat makes their bodies hum, makes them hot, and speeds Dean up.

They both suddenly feel removed from it all, the heat and horniness making them dizzy, light-headed. When Dean comes, he hugs Sam even closer and shakes as though from cold. But now it’s hot under the covers. So hot they’re both sweating. And it only takes a few more minutes for Sam to come too.
