I Officially Fail
Oct. 10th, 2013 10:53 amI officially fail at life. Big credit card debt that was from new tires, the new siding on my house in May, Max's surgery and recovery, Max's meds, and Max's last day (which was $3000 alone). I haven't even gotten the bills yet for last week's GI appointment, all the lab tests, and the emergency room visit.
Today I have an endoscopy in the AFTERNOON so I am without food and drink for the next four hours and without food all day past midnight last night. My head is KILLING me but I can't take Tylenol now, of course. So now my stomach is hurting AND my head is hurting so much more.
I woke up this morning to the headache... and to the sound of water dripping. My damn roof is leaking through my ceiling. OH THANKS! Just what I needed to deal with. I called my contractor and he wanted me to take pictures. In the process of climbing into my attic, I knocked over the bucket catching the water. Why do I bother? LOL And I wasn't wearing a mask because I didn't realize that the attic hatch is covered in insulation, which I have now breathed in briefly and touched with bare hands. So that was smart of me *facepalm* Plus, I couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from. And it's stopped raining hard. So... no idea unless it rains again. Damn it.
So much for trying to sleep until noon.
Stupid body. Stupid house.
The good news is that when the leak started, I would have been at work, instead of home because of the endoscopy. So maybe all this is some greater cosmic plan for me to have been upstairs where the leak was just after it started. Granted there was already some damage done by the time I woke up, but not too much.
