Fun day...
Jul. 1st, 2003 12:38 pmI can tell already, it's going to be a fun day *groan*
Step 1- figure out if I suddenly need to pay tuition (money for which I don't have) just so I can defend and graduate in August (why doesn't anyone I talk to know this???!!!)
Step 2- Try to write up a basic summary about HP5 and maybe another character-based one about the Marauders and Snape (I've been thinking about Snape a lot when I'm out driving and have come up with a partial idea of him) Probably won't post for a little while longer because I hate teasers as much as spoilers, but when I do I promise it'll be cut-away to and labelled propperly.
Step 3- work my little ass off on my thesis project and try not to get distracted by 'Giving' for as long as I was yesterday (the thing's almost twice as long as 'Settling' right now)
Step 4- go out and try and find diet drinks that are not carbinated and rice cakes I can stomach (In a desperate move yesterday for rice cakes, I bought some of those Quaker apple cinnamon ones- I couldn't even make it through the first one... gah! I don't like flavors!)
I've decided I really need to lose weight. I'm not happy with myself at all. I want to return to at least my college sophomore year weight (I'm not mad enough to try for my high school weight, which was 105lbs at 5ft 5in) The rice cakes aren't part of that, I just really like them :-) Call me Irish, but I adore bland foods :-)
Step 5- I haven't thought that far ahead yet. LOL! But watching HL tonight with boyfriend is a must. Tis a good episode. The 'Watchers play poker' episode as I like to call it. Gods, I'm telling you, as soon as the second season comes out commercially on DVD I am SO buying it. I'm sick of watching my videotapes that were taped back before I had cable. *squint* Is that Duncan? *squint* Is that a herring or a sword? *squint* Oh wait, it's a commercial...

Re:
Date: 2003-07-01 11:05 am (UTC)And yeah... I was way too skinny in high school. Then came the freshmen 15 and the sophomore 20 and the junior/senior/grad school ton :-) SO I'd like to be back at 120-125, I think. That's my target to shoot for at least. I'm really out of shape and hate taking the time and energy to exercise.
It's really important to be happy with how you look and feel, though. Kudos to you!!! (did I spell that right? lol)

Date: 2003-07-01 11:22 am (UTC)ANd I don't really do diets as my diet is already rather restricted- no meat that came from animals (though I don't really mind chicken/beef broths if I have no other choice and I do still eat eggs), little dairy (I'm lactose intollerent), and no seafood. Thus, cutting some of the snacks and things like the deserts/candy/chips out and starting to exercise more is pretty much all I can do at the moment. I really don't eat all that much... but I do drink a lot of iced tea and juice which has a lot of sugar (I'm not a huge fan of water which is what I really should be drinking more of)
This is more than you wanted toknow, huh? LOL
I do agree though, it is NICE having the freedoms to go anywhere at any time, sleep/study/eat whenever you want rather than be defined by parents' routines. It's hard going back to visit them sometimes-screws up my own routines :-)
