I just figured out how to turn producer's commentary on (it was hidden in the menus... and I'm just stupid, lol) and am watching Back to the Future part 2 on DVD... the producer's just pointed out a little Elijah Wood in a scene- gods, he must be, like, 8! They say it's his film debut... but oh my gosh! Those eyes! He's so YOUNG! He's adorable!! And he does this little head shaking thing with this CUTE little expression and looks JUST like he does now... I'm squealing over here. LOL What a cute little kid Lij makes!
Incidentally, if I'm not the last person to know this (which I probably am) he's the kid in the green hat in the future cafe scene about 15 minutes into the film, the one by the arcade game. You'll recognize him when he turns and makes that sad little face and shakes his head. Ohhh what a cutie! :-)
OK, I just looked it up.. Lij was born in 1981... and Back to the Future II was made in 1989... so he was indeed probably 8, maybe even 7 when that was filmed! heehee *goes to watch the scene a third time*
You know what I would REALLY like to watch? The Bublebee Flies Anyway. I LOVED that book when I read it back in 8th grade. Lots of interesting concepts to analyze and some cool characters. I've always wanted to rent it and see what the movie version is like, though slightly hesitant because I didn't want to be let down. But Lij is in it- can't be that bad, right? Maybe I'll try to track it down and take a chance. I've always wanted to see the 'A Separate Peace' movie as well.. though I heard it was AWFUL. Apparently they're making a new version for TV that's out in 2003... I haven't seen it- hope I didn't miss it... maybe it will be better.
