I posted my Lord of the Rings story 'Giving' on sneezefic just now... spanned two days as I began posting before midnight and finished after. heehee!
It's long but hopefully good *starts nervously pacing* with mostly sneezey Aragorn, though Gimli's got a few sneezes and Legolas has a few as well :-)
Many many many thanks to girlwithtulips for beta-ing for me! Couldn't have done it without you!

OK... so now I'm feeling REALLY weird... can't really focus my eyes on things, and my head keeps spinning... I'm not liking this much at all (and typing with eyes closed, so sorry about any errors) I think I will try and eat something and lie down for a while... not good... I was counting on another good 5 hours of working tonight *growl*

YES!! I was holding my breath, hoping you'd post tonight. I'm gonna run over right away and read it, but I probably won't be able to give coherent feedback until tomorrow after work. I should have been in bed already, but...well...that's just how I am :)

Ok, that was amazing! I'm pretty speechless right now, but wow...love the characterizations, love the flashbacks, adore the sneezing (especially the feather...yummy!) I curse the part in Tolkien canon where elves can't get sick, but you just keep finding lovely ways around that. You've perfectly set up an opportunity for a lovely Legolas/Gimli short ficlet about a future cold and the fun that ensues...even if you don't eventually write one, I'll certainly go to bed tonight imagining it! :)

A thousand thanks for your venturing once again into LOTR fic...a million thanks for your brillant writings!

Wow- thank you!!! Much appreciated... it's a long story, and maybe not really in with everyone's taste, but I haven't gotten much feedback on it yet- so this means a lot :-) Thank you :-)

heehee, well, I'm not sure I normally ascribe to the elves don't get sick theory...but this time around it was nice coming from that angle. Try and stop me from writing more sick Legolas stories *G*

Glad the flashbacks weren't too jumpy for you... and that you enjoyed the story- especially the feather part. Incidentally, I wrote most of the feather scene before I even started 'Cherishing' long ago... I just didn't do anything with it... and thought it fit in perfectly here- so that's why it might seem a little out of nowhere- because it is! lol But glad you found it yummy all the same. Sneezey elf torture- seriously, who can complain about that?! heehee

As for setting up Leg/Gimli... you never know. I originally planned for Gimli to get sick in this story, but it wrote itself much differently than I planned it. But you never know... there might be room for more... I never thought I'd write a sequel to 'Settling' in the first place, and here I am 38/39 pages later :-)
