There's just something about elves sneezing *G* heehee
OK, so I went and treated myself and got the Legend of Zelda tv cartoon video from Walmart- 3 episodes. Man, really takes me back to my childhood. What familiar music... what creative possibilities... what terrible animation *G*
But for $6, 3 episodes isn't too bad. Especially since I haven't seen 'em since I was young! But my fond memories of Link playing sick so he didn't have to do the spring cleaning were not ruined one bit. Cute stuffy talk, rubbing nose into crook of arm, complaining he's sick, little Link curling a blanket around himself, and several fake sneezes! heehee Just hearing an elf sounding all stuffy as he says "But I have a cold cobig od" just TOTALLY makes my night *BEG*
*borrows Link's sword to fight off ensuing plot bunnies*
LOL OK, I'm insane. But it's one of those things I remember from childhood... back in the day before the internet... many years before I would write sneezey!elf fanfics LOL!
No stranger than my spending $10 to buy a Warner Brothers cartoon video of Pepé Le Pew for the 'Odor of the Day' cartoon, I guess *G* Sesame street aside, that short was the first time I realized I was "into" sneezing probably a liiiiiiiiittle more than normal people. Gods... I was 7 I think... maybe 8... wow... memories... Wish they'd put Sesame Street episodes out on DVD! Actually, no, never mind. I'd probably buy all 30+ years worth of episodes just in case I decide to have kids. I guess that's the problem with growing up on PBS- everything pales in comparison to Reading Rainbow, 3-2-1 Contact, Seasame Street, and Mr.Rogers *sigh*

Legend of Zelda
Date: 2003-07-10 08:16 pm (UTC)I'm currently downloading that episode of Legend of Zelda on KazaaLite...with my cable modem, I should have it before I go to bed tonight. I don't care if the rest of the cartoon is horribly dated or not, but I would sell my soul to hear a stuffed-up Legolas talking about 'nod feelig well', and this sounds like the closest I can get to that! I'm hopeless...
Re: Legend of Zelda
Date: 2003-07-10 08:55 pm (UTC)I downloaded it yesterday from Kazaa, too(though feel good about it since I bought the tape... I really need to get over this morality problem, LOL). Will have clips of it up at my next update (as soon as darn buildpage goes back up)
The cartoon is terrible(art-wise, and plot-wise, too), and the sneezes are, well, cartoonish. The third is better than the first two. But I really get a kick of the sniffling and stuffy talk from the cute little elf, so it's totally worth it for me.
Lemmie know what you think. It's a short little episode, so hope it downloads quickly (on my connection it still took me overnight since the people who had it went offline for a while)
Anyway... enjoy! Link's NOWHERE as cute as Legolas... and the sneezes are cartoony... but I still think it's adorable. Maybe that's just because it endeared itself to me in my childhood? :-) Ah well. Enjoy!

Date: 2003-07-10 11:31 pm (UTC)As for this ep, very cute stuffy sounding voice, adorable rubbing of his nose, etc..and I just love his pointy ears! Although the 'serious' plot of the ep. was very thin, to say the least, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I did wish Link were a bit more mature though...but it's a kid's show, not Middle Earth :)

Date: 2003-07-10 11:54 pm (UTC)Yep, it used to be part of that Super Mario Bros show where they showed shows relating to Nintendo-there was a wresting one, and a Super Mario Bros cartoon and probably other things I don't remember.
Link is certainly not mature... constantly wanting a kiss from Zelda-and never succeeding. But he's got his hero moments- he recovered the triforce/triangle once at least, so he's certainly worthy of respect. But yeah, not mature.
The plot wasn't as bad as you were expecting? LOL This was actually one of the bad ones, so that's surprising. But yeah, having a sniffley little pointy-eared elf(even if he's 'faking it') makes everything better *G* Glad you enjoyed!
