I'm Going Flying

I'm starting to get really, really excited about my next 101 Things in 1001 Days list. If anyone's thinking of trying to undergo the project, I encourage you to do so... and you could start on October 1 like my friends and I are! :-)

I'm going flying later today *G* My Harry Potter group is going for flying lessons at a trapoline place. I'm super excited. Have never done anything like that before and I think it'll be a lot of fun and a good way for me to just... relax and be outside myself for a while. Sometimes I need that.

Today was kind of a wash. My uncle & his girlfriend thought they might stop over, so I didn't want to get too deep into anything. But they ended up not coming over. Oh well. My house is clean anyway ;-) Mom came over and we tried to figure out how to use my sewing machine, but it is broken. It's fixable, if I order a part or two off eBay. But, yeah. That was a bust. In the process, I hurt my head by banging it on the bottom of the sewing machine and I burned myself on the lightbulb in my storage area. I'm that coordinated. But, yeah. I just haven't felt like doing much of anything today. Though I did finish a swap and two book reviews and got caught up on swap ratings.

Just finished a movie on Netflix called "Tiger Orange." Main characters reminded me of Sam and Dean at times... if Sam and Dean were both gay and Dean were an uptight closet case. There were a few moments that just screamed Winchesters. I liked that a lot *G*

I also rewatched Bear City. Seriously, for maybe the 30th time. It is SO terrible and corny but I love it SO MUCH.

I'm binging Person of Interest. John's voice annoys me a little bit, but am loving the show so far otherwise.

I think I'm going to do the 101 Things list with you this time. I've been thinking of a list and need to get writing it down if I'm going to do it. Which I am. I think it should be a good motivator.

That is so neat that you are going to go flying. Many years ago I was part of a youth flying organization and learned a lot and got to go on a lot of cool flights in small aircraft. Although it seems like you are doing a more grounded jumpy-type flying, I hope you have a good time.

I've been thinking about starting Person of Interest myself. Gah! There are so many shows I want to watch. I really need to clear my DVR off first before new shows start this week that I want to watch.

So, I'm not sure that I can do 101 things, because I'm not that great at long-term planning, but I was thinking about doing 52 things in 52 weeks just to start with, since I've never done the list thing before and I think a year of stuff might be a more manageable goal for me.

Oh my goodness! 52 Things in 52 Weeks sounds so much harder! One thing every week? That would be like doing 150 Things in 1001 Days! I like the 1001 days project because it gives me about 3 years. Some things I just can't get done in a year or don't feel like doing one year but feel like doing the next. I thought 101 things would be daunting, too, but now I have a hard time narrowing down my list to only 101 things :-) But it's definitely not for everyone. I totally get that! Whatever works, right? Good luck with 52 in 52... that's definitely too intense for me!
