tarotgalIt's that time of year again! Want a fic? I can't promise brilliance, but I'll do my best for you.
So what do you need to do?

It's got to be original character fic or a fandom I'm really familiar with. I can't do really obscure things that require research & extensive source material reviewing because I won't have time for that. I can't do elaborate situations either if I'm writing one for every day. So keep your requests short and sweet (but as specific as you want within that scope). Again, please don't expect brilliance from me :-) If I reply and say I just can't write what you want and I need you to pick something else, you won't lose your "spot". But you should suggest something else within a reasonable period of time so I can get it written.
Fandoms I'll Write:
Any fandom I've written for before is technically fair game, but I can tell you right now I'm going to struggle to write another fic in a couple of those fandoms. And I can assure you that if you request something slashy in one of my major fandoms (or Strokes) I will LOVE you for making it easy on me. Feel free to ask if I know a particular fandom. You can also check out the fandoms mentioned in my tags for fandoms I've written most recently. I've also started writing some stories with anthro animal characters, so apparently the sort of story you'd read on sneezefurs is on the table now too.
Other Notes:
Because I've been asked this before, I'll answer it here before someone asks again: yes, lurkers are more than welcome to request (you can post with your name or anonymously; I don't mind, that's why I allow anon posting on my LJ).

Characters and/or Pairings: Horatio, whichever characters you decide are appropriate for the situation.
Sneezing specifications (which character/characters you want sneezing, illness/allergies, etc.): Horatio sneezing, snuff.
Rating/Range of Ratings: G-PG.
What DO you want to see (be as brief or detailed as you like): Horatio takes snuff for the first time, unaware of what that can lead to. The predictable results ensue. Where and how this happens, I'll leave up to you, although I'd like the story to be humorous (at least for the readers; I doubt Horatio's likely to see the funny side, though I certainly wouldn't mind if you want to go that route).
What do you NOT want to see (squicks, pairings, etc.): No overly messy sneezes (though if he has a fit that soaks his handkerchief, that's fine), but otherwise, go wild.

1. Sam has managed to come down with quite possibly the worst cold Dean has ever seen. Dean's almost impressed! (This one can be slashy or not as you choose. Gen, Wincest, kinky!Dean, all ok by me. )
2. I'm calling this one "Colds of their lives", lol. Basically I'm thinking of a series of glimpses into some of the times the Winchester brothers have been sick and fussed over by friends/family. I could see this done as an all-Bobby version, or a mixed one with Bobby, Ellen, Cas, Jody, Charlie, etc. I would like a slightly larger emphasis on sick Sam please, but also love both boys sick at the same time.
Feel free to be as gratuitous and schmoopy as you wish. You know my tastes. ;-)

Date: 2016-11-15 11:50 am (UTC)I have a scenario that I'd love if it's not too cheeky to request it. It's SPN S12 but no spoilers for anything you wouldn't see on season promos or at the end of S11.
Sam is captured early on and tortured, which involves being doused with freezing water (cue my mind going into overdrive). I feel like he needs to get a cold after that. Before Dean notices anything is wrong, Mary has fallen into a habitual pattern of caretaking.
Cas is around, but thinking Sam and Mary might need this time together, Dean tells him not to intervene with any healing unless Sam asks for it. Sam doesn't ask.
Bonus points if Mary is mildly infuriated at their shortage of medical supplies and lack of attention to taking care of themselves.

Date: 2016-11-16 02:04 pm (UTC)What if Dean is mad at Sam for some kind of fairly legitimate greivance (no need to describe it if that overcomplicates things - just giving you a bit of a set up). Sam agrees to stay somewhere else to give Dean a bit of space. Unfortunately, they're gonna be on this job for a while and Sam needs to be close, and the only other motel in town is an absolute dump.
When Dean phones Sam the next morning to meet up, Sam's in the middle of a sneezing fit, but he plays it down and gets off the phone quickly and Dean doesn't worry too much. But then when Dean drives round to pick up Sam, his eyes and nose are streaming and painfully red and his clothes smell of mould and dust and motel room crap. It takes him the best part of the morning to stop sneezing.
Dean really, really wants to stay mad, but it's so difficult not to check that Sam is taking his allergy medication and to keep himself from slipping kleenex into Sam's duffel bag.
Finally, the sleepless allergy-fuelled nights get too much for Sam and he gets a cold or a sinus infection or something. On top of all his allergy symptoms he's now huddled in the passenger seat, pale and shivering.
Dean is just like, 'What am I supposed to do with this? You are way too pathetic. C'mere.' And he looks after him all up. Yay.

poe will do anything to avoid being grounded so when he gets sick he hides it. finn notices and without even acknowledging the illness tries to help poe through it with subtle acts like stocking bb8 with tissues. when poe's illness worsens finn intervenes to properly care for poe.

Date: 2016-11-16 05:56 pm (UTC)I've been watching Milo's new show, This Is Us, waiting for the new GG reboot to hit Netflix. I recommend it if you haven't seen it. The actor who plays Kevin is gorgeous, and the plots are so moving I think I've cried at all but one. So I have been in a Milo mood. I would love to see a GG fic. But I was also (because who doesn't do this, right?) haveing a chat on LGBT programming with a friend, so I would also love to see a Brian fic, from QAF. So I'm posing two different requests, and you can roll with either one.

What DO you want to see (be as brief or detailed as you like): This is going to be weirdly specific, but it's a scene I've been playing around with forever that I can't seem to figure out how to write. After Jess is sent back to NY, or after he's kicked out at the end of season 3, something brings him back to Stars Hollow for a visit he absolutely doesn't want to make because he's sick and doesn't want Luke or anyone to know that he can't take care of himself. (I envisioned it as Luke's birthday, and when Rory reaches out to him to tell him he has to come, he tells her he can't because he'll be sick. She gets irked at him because it's a week away and he's just making excuses, but really he just knows he's been sick for so long now that he probably will still be in a week)

What DO you want to see (be as brief or detailed as you like): There have been a couple times I have felt Brian could definitely use some H/C instead of the straight Hurt. My favorite was probably when he purposely screwed up Michael's birthday party and everyone but Justin was pissed at him. That would be a terrible time to fall ill. Especially going into the diner and seeing everyone...because Unpenetrable Brian Kinney can't get sick, right?
What do you NOT want to see (squicks, pairings, etc.): Brian/Michael. I know he didn't belong with Dr. Cameron, but I also never shipped him with Brian.

It's the dead of winter in either the Shire or Erebor (everyone survives the Battle of the Five Armies, obviously) and Bilbo and Thorin have both come down with really awful colds. Especially in their heads. And their bodies with regards to a shivery need to cuddle. They take care of each other very well.
Bonus if the cold is contagious to other Dwarves or Hobbits. ;) Double bonus if one/both of them has/have a certain fascination with sneezes.
