tarotgalI guess everyone has bad days from time to time... this one got the honor to be mine. Between a headache that will NOT go away and being stressed about two meetings tomorrow and boyfriend threatening suiside twice tonight and a call to my mother... ug. I haven't had to make one of those calls since undergrad, I don't think. It's pretty routine for my mother to expect a phone call a day before one of my big programming projects is due, with me sobbing and her talking me back into the fact that I'm smart enough to be in CS and all that shit. Funny thing is, almost all my female friends in Comp Sci have similar emotional breakdowns before their projects are due as well. Ug... sometimes it's hard to be a girl geek in a world of egotistical computer nerds.
I don't know what I'm going to do about tomorrow... I'm skipping one meeting. Hopefully headache (and resulting weakness, dizziness, and naseua) will go away in time for the other. *crosses fingers*
My whole life sucks right now *sigh* Gotta love grad school.
On another note... I really love little whisps of clouds in the middle of the night. Just took a walk around my building (fingering keys in my pocket just in case, lol, yes, I'm paranoid). When the sky is dark blue and the stars shine down and the strings of clouds make you think of the northern lights. I have always wanted to see the northern lights. Tis a dream of mine. Fuck, right about now I'd like to pack up my car, drop my cat off at his grandparents' house, and drive to Alaska. Screw this damn thesis. It's not going to get done by tomorrow morning at any rate. I'm so sick and tired of being the good student all the time. I'm even expected to be responsible when I have a mental breakdown LOL!
On a slightly happier note... I watched Highlander episode 'Leader of the Pack'(the bad guy in the ep is one I mention slightly in that wolves crossover story I wrote years ago). I'd like to say the first thing I think of when I think of that episode is dogs. Or even revenge on the guy who kills Tessa. Or even Duncan buying a house or becomming a professor. But no. When I think of that episode, first thing that comes to my mind is 'Duncan in a white bathrobe and his undies'
Yum! *S* No matter what mood I'm in, a semi-naked Adrian will always make me smile.
I'm thinking of tracking down some vids this upcoming weekend (when I might have free time, imagine that!). I'm going to hunt for Gangster No.1 because Thewlis is supposed to look good/be good in it. And I'd really like to see Total Eclipse(even if I'm not a Leo fan) because Thewlis is supposed to do a great job acting, and apparently is very convincing as a gay (and naked) lover. ANYTHING that helps me start thinking of him positively as my Moony is good, IMO. More importantly, thinking of him in compromising positions with a Sirius-looking Gary Oldman. Rewatching Dragonheart did NOT help my view of Thewlis *shudder*
