Laptop and Notebook/Tablet!

tarotgalThe bad news: I accidentally left my notebook/tablet charger at Panera last night. I woke up an hour early today and both called and drove over there, but there was no sign of the charger. It was bent and needed replacing anyway. I've been using the device as my only computer for 3 weeks since my laptop was in the shop and I dropped it off my lap and onto the carpet a couple of times, bending the pins in the cable. So I was going to replace part of it in any case. But the new cord won't arrive until Tuesday because of holiday shipping, even with my Prime membership. Phoey!
The good news: The shop called and I picked up my laptop today! Squee! So fantastic to have it back. It will take a little time to get it all hooked back up and set up the way I want it. But I'm so thrilled to have it back, especially now that I can't use my notebook computer constantly. They tried to charge me the whole price, even after Shawn with amazing Irish accent came out and apologized. And then it took the clerk, like, 5 minutes to figure out how to deduct the amount of labor from the bill. So I ended up only paying for the initial diagnostic and for the new fan part. Still twice as much as I had been led to believe from their website. And I'm still pissed it took them 3 weeks to get this fixed. But at least I've got it back home. YAY!!!!
