It was a rough year for writing; I'm not going to lie. I didn't get nearly as many stories written as I wanted. And the meme kind of fizzled out as I moved from LJ to DW. Don't know what the future will bring for that, but I did write more than a handful of fills, and I'm proud of that. Most of all, I had fun writing and challenging myself a little this year. And getting a good start on a Strokes story I've been wanting to write for years was an excellent accomplishment, even if I didn't get the whole novel finished in 50,000 words (still have a long way to go after hitting that mark).

Some of my favorite pieces:
  • The Best and Worst (Buffy: tvs)- I've never explored Spike/Buffy in this way before. And even though this is short, I really liked the feel of this piece.
  • Many (Sense8)- This was my first time writing in the fandom. Clusterfic can present some logistical nightmares, but I thought this came out wonderfully. I also have a thing for common cold remedies from different parts of the world, so this was an excellent excuse to play that out. And what could possibly be a better cure than your cluster all cuddling you in bed?
  • Friday Night Adventurers (Original Fiction)- I've been watching a lot of D&D & RPGs on YouTube, and I was part of a short-lived company recently. So I had a blast writing this. The majority of this was written in one day in pretty much one sitting, and I really couldn't be happier with it. I love that they don't know one character well enough to do much for him, but their way of showing they care is being able to take care of his character ingame.
  • Wolf Pack BDSM Club "F" series (Original Fiction; Anthro)- This series of 4 stories was unstoppable. They consumed me entirely until I wrote them. I had such an amazing time coming up with the culture of the club and the personalities of various characters therein. It was so much fun working with my own wolf pack as well. I loved seeing the story unfold from different POVs for each fic. And I definitely loved watching Nathaniel's and Richard's sneeze fetish take off the way it did. I really want to write another few stories in this series soon; I've got ideas

Goals:The only goal I set myself last year was to write, and I definitely did that. I did a whole lot of editing as well. This year, I'm a little worried about setting specific writing goals. I'd certainly like to write more overall. I'd also like to work on another Strokes collection and finish the first draft of the piece I started for NaNoWriMo.
