No April Fic Meme

I'm not going to be hosting my usual April comment fic meme. I just haven't been in the right mental space for writing, especially not sickfics. I'll be participating in Camp NaNoWriMo (which may or may not have been rebranded as #StayHomeWriMo?), but I'll be editing my Strokes stories that I wrote in November.

Sorry if people were really hoping for my meme, but it's been getting fewer and fewer participants each year, so I figure it was time to let it go. I'm taking this as a sign.

Plus, I still have holiday giftfics to write. I have a lot of guilt about those unfinished stories. I can't promise new fics without finishing those up first.

As for participation...I should probably get off my butt and post the few things I’ve written in response to previous challenges, huh? Or would you prefer I not right now, since they’re (both? all? I forget) sickfics?

Please feel free to go ahead and post whatever you like. I might not immediately read it, but that shouldn't stop you from sharing your lovely words with the world and letting others enjoy! And there should be a ton of previous challenge prompts out there (filled or unfilled) you're always welcome to use for writing inspiration!

Awww, I'm sorry to see the meme go away, but I can understand not being the right mental place to write.

I will still enjoy going back and reading all the fics from previous years! :) Thank you for providing many fun years of memes.

Feel free to read 'em all and write more for filled or unfilled prompts from previous years! Or, hey, feel free to host one or make space to put prompts somewhere. Those plot bunnies can't be ignored sometimes :-)

I think that's what's been one of the hardest parts about all this. I love writing so much; it's like breathing to me. And I don't feel like myself if I'm not writing the things that I normally love to write. It feels unnatural or like there's something wrong. But, of course there's something wrong.
