Notes: Written during my 12 Ficlets in 12 Days in 2020-21 project project for smokeycat_430

This takes place during episode 2 of Hawkeye (I haven't seen past that, so no spoilers!). But there are also some flashbacks to previous missions and scenes that have nothing to do with the series. I couldn't resist writing a fic based entirely on those little sniffles!

Sorry for the late reply. I have read this at least once every day since you posted it but only now have had time to go on a computer and log in and reply. I enjoyed this very much and when I read it if I have my tablet nearby I go and watch the corresponding scene from the show. I assume you had to watch the scene a few times while writing this as well. ;-)

The scene from the show was such a good jumping off point for this fic. I was sad in the show that there was no payoff to this scene but you expanded on it in a way that seems like it would have fit right in with the show. The other three scenes you wrote were great as well. I can see how Clint would be embarrassed and/or worried about others finding out about his allergy and how it could be something that could be exploited.

I hope that Clint let his kids keep the kitten. My grandma grew up on a farm and would always joke that cats belong in a barn, not in a house so maybe Clint could compromise. I really need more Barton farm centered fics now. With Laura, and Nat, and Coulson, and Kate, and Lucky, and everyone at the farm (not necessarily all at the same time, though).

I feel like I could go on about this fic but just know that I loved it and appreciate it as always and have been enjoying reading it over and over. I don't know how much more of the show you have seen since last week but if you ever want to do a party watch for any of the episodes I would be down! Thank you so much for this, it was a great surprise. Now about the feedback I still owe you for the previous giftfic...
