Why all of a sudden this obsession to name people and call attention to this sort of thing?

Straight guys have cared about their appearances for thousands of years... why is it such a hot obsession now? lol What, guys can't want to look good without us throwing them into some freakish category?
And who wants to date a stereotypical male anyway? Muscles have never been my thing, but everyone has their own thing, I suppose :-)
*sigh* I say everyone should get some kohl or glitter any time they damn well like! *G*

I completely agree... it seems like as ever pop culture is just trying to categorize and label again.

Why can't a person be a person, and be their own unique personality without having every piece of them being labeled one way or another.

My personal preference- the sensitive intellectual. *i.e. my prof. story*. This is another reason that I Love Daniel from Stargate. yum, yum :)

I know. LOL! But I guess people who study these kinds of trends need to give them some label when they write papers about them. Still doesn't mean the labels have to be paraded around in pop culture. Divisions and labels don't exactly do a lot to help make a happy little unified country. lol

And I completely agree :-) There is absolutely nothing sexier IMHO than a romantic, senstitive, intellectual guy. Which is probably why I'm currently dating a computer geek *G*

*sigh* I agree with you on this one...society's continuous need to place everyone and everything in a proper box, with a proper label is disturbing and distressing. Its much more enjoyable to exist between the labels anyways...Bring on the glitter!
