I'm terrible. I adore the movie Apollo 13. I saw it in theaters (in a cold theater, mind) and at least a dozen times since. But every time I watch, I enjoy it... but am secretly holding out for that "warming up" scene between Jim and a very cold Freddo. It's just so... adorable... watching Jim hug him and rub his arms to warm him up a little, and try and fill him with a little hope to help the poor guy get through it, running a high fever and all.
I'm absolutely terrible, but I ADORE that scene. *sigh* Such good friends. I've watched a lot of things about the space program- the entire Earth to the Moon series (twice) for example- because it's one of boyfriend's obsessions. And there's such an interesting dynamic among the perspective astronauts... different levels of existing (the old Gemini guys and the newbies, etc.) and that really comes out well in Apollo 13... but that hug... gods, it kills me! I just want to jump in there and warm 'em both up! *sigh*
It's such a spectacular movie and I still cry at it... but I always hold out for that scene, anxiously awaiting it every single time.

You're not terrible at all! I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but I still think fondly on that scene as well.

I have a random question for you: Have you ever seen the movie Shallow Grave, featuring a young, adorably cute long-haired Ewan McGregor? I must have rented it a dozen times in the summer of '99, when Phantom Menace came out. He plays a journalist named Alex, and he's such an irreverent smart-ass in this movie! I mention it now, in light of your above post, because there's this scene in the middle of the movie where he insults someone at a party and later, that someone jumps him in the bathroom and punches him in the face. This results in a rather adorable scene taking place the next morning, where he's sitting at the kitchen table,hung-over and with a pounding headache, wearing nothing but white boxer shorts and his white dress shirt from the previous evening, while his flatmate helps him tend to his bloody nose. He sounds so pathetic and miserable I just want to give him a huge hug! Even my best friend, who has never cared for Ewan much but also has a thing for h/c, was forced to admit he was nearly irresistable and yummy in that scene :)

You know, I've never been able to find it out here in the boonies(we have exactly two video stores, neither of which has much selection... I nearly died when one actually had The Pillow Book). Maybe I'll have to go on another search tomorrow, though because that sounds MUCH too incredible to miss! Thanks! *G*

Honestly, if it's Ewan in nothing but boxer shorts I'd die to see it anyway... let alone with such an adorable scene built around it! Awwwwwwwwww! Poor baby... *giddy bounces*
