tarotgalIs that the right term? What's the term for someone so damn tired they laugh at everything and are really happy? Cuz whatever that term is, that's me right now. I haven't slept in... going on 25 hours now *G*
I was about to go to sleep at 8am this morning when I got an e-mail reminding me of my morning meeting at 9. WHOOPS! Forgot! Quickly dressed, defrosted a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, and drove to campus, only to remember that classes started and so there's no parking. I circled a while and parked a mile away but still made it to the meeting a whole 3 minutes early. Everyone else was 5 minuteslate at least. LOL!
SO, I set things up at the meeting... I've got to do SO much work tonight! But things are in motion for me to finish. Gods, I'm so excited about that. I've GOT to start my write-up tonight... I want at least 100 pages by the time my advisor goes out of town Thursday night.
ANYWAY, I drove out to town to Office Depot (which is our only office supply store) and THEY HAD 3 PLANNERS LEFT! WHOOHOO!! They're the only ones in town that sell anything resembling my planner. I have to have one that has daily sections AND a monthly calendar for me to fill dates into. Most these days will have one or the other but not both. And I refuse to get one of those giant notebook-sized ones. Nobody in town has my planner... except for Office Depot. Oh, I'm SOOOO happy. I've been DYING without it! i.e. forgetting my meeting this morning! In fact, my advisor after the meeting comes up to me and says "Are you coming to the group meeting this afternoon?" and I'm like WHAT? When? Today? What? I'm LOST without my baby!
My two best friends (who are mad at me and not speaking to me any longer) and I all used to get the same planner every year... then they discontinued the series. But I was hooked! I can't use anything that doesn't have the proper format and contents now... so I found a brand that's sort of close (but slightly smaller... close enough!)
Oh... I'm SO happy! I have a new baby!!!!
AND I went to the video store and right there in "Suspense" was 'Shallow Grave' though it was out of order alphabetically and I almost missed it. Spent a bloody $2 on renting it... I couldn't think of anything else to rent because I was so tired... the vid store has 2-for-$1.50 Tuesdays. But I wasted fifty-cents. Oh well. That's still not too bad *G*
I'm going to do a write up that needs to get done by 2pm then crash for a little while before starting work BIGTIME today. Sooo tired.
But this Steve McDonald CD is pulling me through. Fly is now my favorite song in the world... followed closely by '100 Pipers'
And I've been having guilt trips since yesterday for not having worked on my novels in so long. I've got a piper in one, you see. So I feel guilty for leaving them all. And I think I'm killing off another character in the third novel... yes... he's got to die... oh... what a SAD novel! Rape, destruction, death, loss of income, loss of home... yeah, erm, not a happy last book in the series. I feel so badly for abandoning it.
Oh yet ANOTHER note... I started a new Obi-fic last night. *G* I won't be able to work on it much for a while... but thought I'd share. Mmmmm... sexy sneezey Jedi Padawan/Master... Gods I want to write... if I could only keep my eyes open...
But looking forward to watching 'Shallow Grave' tonight after I wake up... and after my 2-hour block of gay programming!

I'm only just now forcing myself to picture him as human, though...the first time I read a fic with him in it, I must has glossed over the descriptions to get to the, eh, meat of it and made up my own. He's a lizard to me. A great, big, adorable lizard...with bushy brown hair.

Yep... it's going well... only 8 pages actually written, but MUCH further in my head :-) I miss playing with Obi :-)

It's, like, 3 pages... not close to even getting to the plot. I'm thinking of shortening the plot, though. I don't really want to make it as heavy as I'd intended. In which case it will be done MUCH sooner!

LMAO! That is certainly an image I would never have come up with on my own... but it's quite adorable! Thanks for sharing :-)
And don't feel bad... I frequently skip parts of stories to get to the sneezing, depending on my mood, and once in a while don't go back for a proper read. Imagine the lad however you like him! I love the guy to death and I still can't decide on his sexual preference. I think he's going to have to be asexual. I just can't see him with anyone and have it look right in my head(especially if I try to picture him as a lizard having sex!).
