Date: 2003-09-11 07:42 pm (UTC)Heath Ledger has been a favorite of mine ever since 1997 when he starred in Roar. On one of those internet adoption sites I adopted Heath's "Worried look" which, back then, was the only expression he had. heehee! Sad, happy, didn't matter. He always *looked* worried. That adorable furrowed brow and those soft yet strong eyes *G* Delicious. Of course I've come to love him in many of his other movies... but I loved him back before he hit the movie circuit and I'll always love him for his worried look *G*
But yes, a Knight's Tale was lovely. One of my favorite time periods... and any time you can randomly throw a Queen song into a movie and have it go well gets my vote! Plus I love Geoffrey Chaucer thanks again to high school English class for making us read his tales. So that was thrilling. I love when historical fiction brings in real characters like that to play with. :-)
I'm absolutely DYING to see The Order. Think I might try and get boyfriend to go with me. It's not really his thing... but I SO want to see that movie! Not to mention Ned Kelly. Oh, I'd kill to see that movie right about now! I think it's slated to come out May 2004 in the US... the wait is terrible!!!

Date: 2003-09-11 07:47 pm (UTC)Anyway... ohhh I LOVE that movie! I'm so impressed at how well the ride translated into a movie. And the characters were so delicious. And the special effects... oohhh I STILL get shivers thinking about that scene where ELizabeth sees they're pirates for the first time! I love listening to that song in the soundtrack... oohhh... so haunting and strong *shiver* But there's such a great balance of suspense and drama and love and humor and obligatory cute boy shots. *G* Lovely movie *G*
No worries, I can certainly wait for feedback. They're not going anywhere. No rush :-) Though I'd love to hear what you think of them :-)

Date: 2003-09-11 07:32 pm (UTC)Of course I like the 1968 version. Tis the first one I ever saw, so it'll always have a place in my heart. The music is beautiful, the costumes rich, the adaptation VERY true to the play... and the nudity certainly doesn't hurt anything at all *G*
