Back home!
Oct. 6th, 2003 10:48 pmHad a nice trip... parents paid for some new clothes (ick, I hate shopping) and I did about 20 loads of laundry (Mother's fault, she told me to bring the lot... I brought about 75% as it wouldn't all fit in my car). Drive was fine on the way up and all right on the way down(though with more crying from the cat)- listened to mix anime CDs and the same 2 chapters of Harry Potter book 3 over and over again. I've nearly got chapter 18 memorized entirely... 17 and 19 are getting there, though they're much longer.
Going out tonight to try and buy The Lion King and Down with Love on DVD. *crossing fingers* Then I have an early morning meeting tomorrow and I got no work done this week *sigh* Ah well. It was a fun week. Lots of e-mails to catch up on (over 1200) and lots of story ideas popping around in my head that just wouldn't get out on paper the way they do on screen (sometimes stories prefer one or the other with me, unfortuntely)
Anyway, all safe and happy to be home. Had a night out at a new place to eat and celebrated a friend's birthday with cake and watching an ep or two of The Muppet Show on DVD. Now I'm home and catching up :-) Hope everyone had a good week!!

Date: 2003-10-07 03:57 am (UTC)As for The Lion King- it's my favorite Disney movie of all time. Plus I'm DYING to hear the new song (I'm a bit of an Elton John fan, too) There's no way I wouldn't buy this on DVD *G*

Date: 2003-10-07 05:26 am (UTC)Anyway... just thought I'd mention the nice "release day" deal on the DVD at Walmart.
Welcome back!
Date: 2003-10-07 05:40 am (UTC)I think I'm adding the Lion King DVD to my Christmas list (which already has POTC and Sleeping Beauty on it). The extended edition box set of TTT I'll buy on my own in November...in no way, shape, or form do I have the patience to wait until December 25th for that movie!
Glad to have you back! Best of luck catching up with your e-mail!
Re: Welcome back!
Date: 2003-10-07 03:09 pm (UTC)But I think I'm going to have to wait on the Indiana Jones box set and the first season of Forever Knight at this rate. Because I know I won't be able to wait for TTT (and probably not for PotC either) I am eagerly awaiting the many DVDs of TTT goodness, too.
As for laundry... it's bloody $2 to do a load where I live now-up from $1.25 when I moved to town. So I don't feel too badly about hauling it all home. And it was my mother's idea in the first place LOL
