Raises bat

Anyone have a bat or a trap or something that keeps the plot bunnies away? I think my muses are working overtime and darnit, I just don't have the time in the day to keep up with them!!! Wish there was just some way to channel the ideas into my computer... without, er, doing any of that plugging in that they do in sci-fi movies where it always goes wrong.

I got Hermione's next chapter in her PotC story... will try to get it betaed ASAP. And I'm trying to catch up with e-mails/responses. Sorry I'm being so slow! I spent most of today sleeping and driving (got a new town sticker so I'm all legal and everything now!)

And I'm trying my best to fend off the bunnies until I can finish my challenge fic since that's on a deadline! But the bunnies are so cute and soft and cuddley... and sooooo hard to resist..........My plan is to finish the challenge fic, then the 5 Star Wars stories (three of which are still unfinished). Then I'll allow myself to start on new stories *G* I hope....

I've mentioned it a few times, but the story I'm working on right now for the challenge is a Marauder fic. It's mostly James sneezing and no slash. I picked HP because it fit so well... though I feel like the fandom was too obvious for a Halloween challenge- I feel like I took the easy way out with it.

But I also wrote a Chronicles of Narnia story for it, too. I was hoping to write a few more(including one for Charmed, which I've never even DREAMED of writing fanfic in) but I think time-wise it'll just be those two. But we'll see.

I started betaing your chapter today- hope to have it done by tomorrow!

Sounds great. Especially the James one, though I can't wait to read the CON one too. Oh, by the way, if you do find a plot bunny trap, tell them to come and visit me. We've only got a few more days and I am coming up dry. :( *GRRRR* Oh well. I'll try some more anyway. Gayle

I'm a little worried about my Marauders story... it's a great plot and has a warm and fuzzy feeling... but they're first years and I don't know how people feel about that. I see them in my head as a lot older, but I don't know about other people. I hope no one will have any serious problems with it.

Oohhhhh... I'm sorry the muses aren't working for you! I'd love a fic with Snape in it in the challenge, especially. I just spent about 30 minutes yesterday trying to convince my boyfriend that he's not really all that evil but boyfriend was not buying it. Then again, he's not even halfway done with HP5. All I need is that image of poor little kid Snape cowering in the corner as his father yells to make me feel sorry for the guy.
As for the challenge... I find the "I'm scared"-type lines and "Trick or treat" the hardest to work into anything. Wish I could offer you some bunnies or advice! My newest bunny was inspired by a cold medicine commercial on tv... so I guess my encouraging advice is to try and look for inspiration all over :-)
