Finished my challenge fic!

I finished the first draft of my Harry Potter challenge fic, finally! Whooohooo!!!!!! *bounces happily*
I don't think it's too bad. It's certainly different than I usually write... it's so goody-goody and gen that it's almost terrifying to realize it came from me! It was a LOT of fun to write... though I'm SO happy I finally got it all unloaded and out of my head! *backs the U-Hall away to return it to the rental office*

I set it in the Marauder's first year... and it was a HECK of a lot of fun to play with them before they really know each other. It was certainly fun to use the word "werewolf" and not have it referring to Remus for a change!(hey, I took the easy way out in picking the HP fandom... least I can do is challenge myself a little, right?)

Ah... now I have work to do for my advisor before I go to sleep *yawn* and then I can start editing the mess!

Hey- nice progress on your fic- yay! Congrats! I look forward to it.

As for mine... first draft done and editing has begun! It's not at all Sirius/Remus(in fact, Sirius and Remus aren't really even friends for a good portion of it). It's really, really gen. Not even het. Not even so much as a hug. It's really as goody-goody as I've ever written! LOL!

i absolutely loved the beginning of the one you recently posted...hee hee! had to read it (even though im not a big Marauder's fan fic fan-->i dont mind when they're the caretakers of Harry, though ;))
Which one are you thinking of? Might you possibly be thinking of another writer's? I have no clue... I write too many stories LOL

LOL- ah, I see. I wasn't sure if you meant you'd just read the beginning or if it was a multiple-parter (which I haven't written for a while in HP, which is why I was suspicious) But a huge thank you, then, for reading at least some of it :-) I really enjoyed that one.

After we send them in, An's just going to put them on a website. I don't know how she's going to organize it, but there won't be any voting or anything like that. Whatever gets submitted to her for the challenge, goes up. No nominations or anything like that needed.

I'm glad you decided to write one!! I hope there's a big response from everybody. I'd love to see more people writing stories!

Mmmmm Sirius/Remus... I cannot argue there!
I don't know if you've read my story 'Storytelling'. If not, you might want to. It's got Harry sneezing and Sirius and Remus taking care of him and telling a story in the marauder's era with Sirius sneezing. It's all from Remus' POV. But you might like the non flashback bits with Harry a lot especially. Too bad the story's AU now *sob*

Hollowites! LOL!!! Almost as good as Hobbitsies! I'm looking forward to reading your SH challenge fic :-)

I don't know... I remember first meeting the original character in that Disney version. And thought he was kinda cute. Scared and all that, but cute. I always wanted him to get the girl. Maybe I just fall for geeky guys?
But yes, Johnny Depp playing him certainly increases my liking of him :-)
