I slept all yesterday trying to feel better... now I can't go back to sleep... and I wanted to wake up by 2pm! Grrr! It's 8:30 now.
Anyhoo... spent the time reading a lovely fic on one of my SB/RL lists called 'Lovelorn in London'. It's a very cute Remus/Sirius story... and Sirius gets a cold halfway through and sneezes and blows his nose and gets handkerchiefs thrown at him for a good 40% of it! I was VERY happy about that. Always nice to stumble on sneeze-filled stories outside the community. I'll post the link when the story is up on a site. Oohhh twas so cute apart from the sneezing, too :-)
I always get urges to write stories without spelled-out sneezes when I read stories like that. Takes me back to my youth when I'd do that. Maybe the occasional 'Achoo' but that's it. Makes it flow better, sometimes. Makes it... I dunno... it's a different feel. And I like it. I concentrate more in my head about what the sneezes look like, when they're not sounded out like that, I think. I dunno. It's just different. And I like it.
And Gayle's Gravi story- awwwwwwwwwww! Once I can open my eyes and type properly I'll have to give proper feedback. But both definitely helped me feel better as I'm sick and insomnia-ridden. Grrr. Too much sleep yesterday. Can't get back to sleep. Why don't my characters have this problem? They're always falling asleep properly when they're sick!
