Date: 2003-11-11 07:12 am (UTC)Anyway... thanks for letting me know you read and enjoyed it *G* I never know what people are going to say when I write different sorts of things. And I certainly have had mixed reviews before. I'd STRONGLY considered not posting this in the first place and keeping it for myself. So it's nice to know someone enjoyed the results of my bravery :-)
Thanks!

Date: 2003-11-12 06:59 am (UTC)I also read the twincest story and Deviations...both really bold, I must say! But even though I couldn't quite take the brotherly love, I *did* love it being Wood who was sneezing at the end of it! Can you just imagine that face and that cute little nose and that wonderfull accented voice during a cold! OMG!! That is the ultimate, don't you think???
Deviations was something....the way you took Neville and something he was rather ashamed of and turned it ito something he could be proud of for a long time to come...I liked that. I agree with your Neville. Who in their right mind wouldn't want to be with Harry Potter? And if one could warm him, cheer him, help him out during one of his colds, then so much the better!
Thanks for these...You know I think of your Marauder stories practically as canon...I will add these to the complete story in my mind!

Date: 2003-11-12 09:03 am (UTC)Well, it really was completely perfect! And certainly led nicely to the sequel I'd had planned.
I get a special delight in having him be the sneezy one, the one who needs cuddling and caring for. Like Remus, who cares if Siri hogs the covers or snores when he has a cold? It makes him all the more Sirius and that is exactly what I love about him!
I love that too- especially when he admits little faults like this rather unapologetically and hopes that his friends accept him for who he is nonetheless. I think that's a trait all the Marauders have, really. Which is funny because they seem to find fault in others quite easily. But in the context of a cold, being tough and saying you don't want sympathy or company when those are really the only things you do want... yeah... I really like that in Sirius.
I'm in the middle of a number of Sirius sneezefics right now... so feedback about his traits while sick is *very* helpful. I'm feeling kind of stuck on two of the stories... always nice to get feedback that inspires me to pick them up and try again.

*blushes terribly and cowers in the corner*

Oh, most CERTAINLY! Why the heck do you think my second Percy/Oliver fic went 41 pages so easily? I just cannot resist a sneezey Wood. Oohhhh that accent!
I'm really into Percy/Oliver... but twins/Oliver is starting to grow on me. Like the, er, beaters vs. captain play that's so possible about that relationship. And I really like the twins together... but the twins ganging up to pleasure (and take care of) someone else just... awwww! Makes me melt.
So it would be a lot of fun for me to try and write a story that bridges these two ships... how different the Weasley boys are from each other on certain matters. And I can see little Perce getting all jealous of his brothers for having his boy first... anyhoo... just bunnies... I can't resist a good sneezey Oliver story.
Deviations was something....the way you took Neville and something he was rather ashamed of and turned it ito something he could be proud of for a long time to come...I liked that.
I like to think of the wizarding world as much more accepting of sexuality. They have so many other things to disagree about that it doesn't seem like they'd be bothered by some of the hang-ups in the muggle world. And though I don't think Neville was quite embarrassed about doing it... being found out is something much different... especially when it's Harry Potter!

I think Neville really has a lot of capacity to love and be tender. I think he understands sympathy and kindness very uniquely as he feels he needs so much of it at times himself. And yet he's so strong in his own way. So I could see him wanting to give Harry the sort of things he wishes he had on a more regular basis. And I was trying to make that comparison between Neville and Hufflepuffs come full circle subtley at the end where he is such a good friend and sweet and caring. I think, if given the chance to love and take care of someone, he would most gladly take the job without question and do a great job at it.

Awww, thanks! I really try not to contradict myself too much when moving around stories. I screwed that up Star Wars-wise. And LotR-wise for that matter. But I do try harder with HP. There are a few that don't fit around others so well... but generally I try and make them so that they could all be read together as a complete story one day. Well... I suppose a number are AU now after book 5... but you know what I mean. :-)
And thank you for such inspiring feedback on them all! I'm glad you like them so much. :-)
