SF Challenge update
Nov. 22nd, 2003 02:41 pmJust coded the first story submission for the challenge! YAY! Thanks Silverelf!
Confession: TG had WAY too much fun selecting pictures for fandom-specific banners.
I'm so excited already! Too bad I don't get to do any fun writing for at least 5 days because I MUST write my thesis. Or as much of it as possible. I was going to take off for the week, originally (It's Thanksgiving Break) but no... must write entire thesis now... from 0 words to 500 pages or where-ever in-between it decides it's finished. I'm shooting for about 200, realistically. Which is... what? 4 'Under House Arrest's? :-) Or 5 'Hunter's Moon's? Yeah... great... should be fun *whines*

Date: 2003-11-23 05:39 am (UTC)Did you ever write anything about what Sirius and Remus might have said to each other after..their reunion, when they actually had time to talk things out? I keep imagining it as pretty emotional, but I want to know how * you * see it, because you do such a good job getting into their heads and hearts...
Thanks!

Date: 2003-11-23 06:22 am (UTC)But I haven't written anything apart from 'Romance' and 'Recovery' that deal with either of those. I have written a lot of 'after the big talk' type stories... of settling into a life together afterwards and all. Which are all AU now, sadly. Which is a shame because I started a whole series of them and only got through 3 of at least 4 before I stopped. And now I know I'll never go back and finish because I don't like writing AU's very much.
I imagine, too, that it must be pretty emotional... and I can't quite see it in my head as coming out as anything but horribly sappy. I get hints of it at times... but it starts sounding like your average middle school kid's story with cheesey lines and lots of dramatic "oh, I forgive you!"s and I give up immediately. It just doesn't work inside my head, I'm afraid. I haven't read a lot of "lie low at Lupin's" stories, either, for that reason. I feel that if I can't make it work inside my head yet, I don't have much right stealing images and ideas from others yet. I don't feel like that about most scenes/incidents, but that's certainly one of them. I just... I don't know... it has so much potential- I don't want to mess it up! :-) I'm honestly just not that good of a writer yet.
