TV Tonight
Mar. 11th, 2003 02:10 amI watched Veritas:the Quest tonight(er, Monday night). Nice to see it's back on again. Very cute show. There's something very attractive about the dad, I don't think I've seen him anywhere before, and the whole group dynamic they have. You know, the typical band of expert misfits... and I've always had a love for fictional archeology. Does that make any sense? I adore it when characters get excited about dead languages and ancient devices... Indiana Jones... the Mummy... even Captain Picard on Start Trek:TNG had a thing for archeology. It's very exciting to watch, but I've always felt that I already had sooo many passions that adding archeology would overpower me. Odd, huh?
Anyway, I thought it was kinda cute that the boy on the show (Ryan) was competing against himself in the timeslot- he's in a lot of Disney chanel movies and 'A Ring of Endless Light' was on at the same time (so I found as I flipped through channels at the commercial) heehee I love it when that happens. I always wonder which one the actor would choose to watch.
I also watched that terrible 'Meet my Kids' show... and my startling revelation for the day is that men seem to get much more insecure as they age, especially about romance. Maybe because by the time they're 30 or 40 they've been burned at least once... or maybe because they've finally developed respect for women... but, yeah, much less secure with themselves than 18-29 year olds
