tarotgalHi... I've been away doing thesis work constantly for days... but thought I'd pop in and say hi...
I'll get back into things as soon as possible... but I'm supposed to defend in less than 2 weeks and one of my committee members is on the other side of the world and not replying to my e-mails. GAH!
I just wrote a nice long sneezefic discussion on the mailing list... it wasn't all off the top of my head, I've thought about this and written about it a number of times before :-) So my rambling is somewhat organized, for a change!
I am dying to finish a few stories, but no time right now to touch them. Sorry! The SW ones I mentioned before were coming along quite well... and I'm tempted to post the finished one... but I think I shall wait until after I finish its companion piece. Otherwise, eh... I don't know how to feel about the first one... it's... rushed in places... and Qui-Gon... isn't exactly himself at times...
Saturday I took a break from writing to go out to dinner to the Texas Steakhouse (gag) with friends. I had the BEST house salad of my life there! Croutons(sp?), eggs, cheese, fresh everything. No olives or dressings or bacon bits... it was SO yummy. Everybody else got icky slabs of dead animals. Well, I should say it was icky for me to watch... I've never actually ever eaten 'ribs' before, so I can't say they're icky tasting. But as I don't like the taste of pork at all... and I don't like when sauces are covering things... I'd imagine I probably wouldn't like it.
Anyway, we went out. Boyfriend sneezed three times. Yum *G* And another of our friends gets in my car (I HATE driving but am always stuck doing it. THis time, though, it was because they had an accident because of the snow and car was in the shop) and says, right away "Just to warn you, but I have a bit of a cold or something. I got up this morning and decided I should probably go back and spend the morning in bed" I could have DIED. *Melt* Of course, he's much older than I am and married. But still... awwww!!! Boyfriend's first sneeze of the night was about a minute later, too. LOL Twas a fun night. Friend didn't sneeze once (which is a shame, because he has nice sneezes) but blew his nose and coughed a few times. And promptly went home after ice cream to take Nyquil and go to bed. *SIGH* I have such a weakness for that kind of thing. Lucky wife *G*
The Commies (Comedy awards show) last night was hilarious! Though I especially loved BNL's performance and all the support they gave Tommy Chong (Grrrr! Stupid Bush administration!!!)
Tony was very Monk-ish. And Joe Pants was SO cute I could have tackled him. I love when he wears that suit with the matching hat like that. Sooo yummy. I am SO going to have to write a Handler fanfic sometime soon. He's just too yummy for me to resist.
Off to write some more and freak out... I just found I have an entire class of strangers to stand up in front of and do SOMETHING with tomorrow. Nothing like short notice! *freaks out*
