Errors in English
Dec. 11th, 2003 04:55 amThis is more for my own benefit, I think. But I find this site highly amusing/interesting. I keep nodding and calling out "Yes! So many people do that!" And shuddering at the horribleness of it all. It even has my favorite (people saying walla! or vwalla! instead of voila! Oohhhhhh that sends shivers up my spine every time!)

Anyway, if I don't post it somewhere, I'm liable to lose it amidst my bookmarks, and this is much easier, yes.

Date: 2003-12-11 01:49 pm (UTC)I know I make LOTS of errors which is very annoing but inevitable (because I'm Danish) but my errors are different, I think, for instance I can't figure out the difference between effective and efficient because in Danish there is only one word, which is 'effektiv', and unfortunately that wasn't on the list so I still don't know... :-(
In Denmark I think the main problem is that so many people mix up English and Danish which is really horrible and WRONG!!
Oh, I could go on for hours with examples but I'll stop now. I just think it's a very interesting subject ;-)
