Startling Realization

I had a very startling realization as I wrote tonight. That the LotR story with Aragorn and Legolas that I had envisioned a week ago was very much not what I was writing. I don't know what this current story is, but it is filled with much grief and guilt which overpower the sneezes and drown out the need for the sort of sex I had envisioned for the pair. Instead, Legolas seems to be gravitating to Gimli for comfort... and I do not much feel like holding him back. So far, it's mainly an AU summary, with emotion and sneezes thrown in.... but I do not know exactly where it will take me on Legolas' catharsis of sorts.

So I began another story just now (about half a minute ago) which resembles more of what I originally had in mind. And when I'm done playing there, I will feel much better about returning to this darker piece which I'm sure will be good when finished... but it has a spirit all its own and does not need me.

More writing

Yes, definitely two distinct LotR stories is what I'm dealing with here. Which is just fine, really. I got through my first Aragorn/Legolas sex scene ever. It is in the long angst-ridden story and feel much better about the whole story now. It seems to be living on its own within the universe MUCH better now. And I just feel a lot better about it. Hope it will live up to my expectations, especially after my first fic which is probably much more of what I like to see in a sneezey story than this one... it's just a different style and feel and concentration and could probably pass for a non sneeze fetish story at this moment in time.

The other story is nothing but a nice short sex scene.. which is going slowly, but not for lack of inspiration. I just have a problem with getting motivated to do non-cold fics, no matter how enticingly yummy the pair is.
