Posted part 20 tonight (er, this morning) on sneezefic. The list was silent after my last posting... hope it wasn't something I did. Y'all were on such a roll with the anime stories! :-)

Anyway... my gosh, I can't figure out what the characters want from me in this story. Usually I have some control over them. But they seem to be leading me in very odd paths lately. OK, ok, so someone's comment got me thinking about Sirius having nightmares like James did with his fever. But things are getting a little out of even my control.

I'm really worried the story is starting to feel like some sadistic piece of work. I gave Lily false contractions, and James nightmares and a cold and spells of passing out, and Remus has the leg injury and Sirius is sick and now Peter... is there no one safe from me? LOL I promise, I want to keep it light, but the characters keep going in these directions and I'm powerless to stop them. I just write what I see in my head, honestly!

It just happens to be a lot of pain and angst, sadly :-( Wonder why that is. My last Legolas fic was pretty angst-ridden, too. I hope this isn't a trend! Maybe I need some light fluffy thing to get me out of this? That Snape-has-a-fetish suggestion sounded fun (though I sort of already wrote one like that... well, Lucius Malfoy had a sneezing fetish... Snape just had a Lucius Malfoy fetish) and I'm still dying to write that one Gayle suggested where Sirius is forced to take care of a cold-ridden Sirius.
But maybe I need some Jedi fluff to pull me back to things? Or maybe I'll just go and work on my John Doe fic some more. It's pretty light.

Don't you just love yummy connections between tv/movies? Ok, maybe it's just me. At any rate, I'm watching the UK Queer as Folk episode, er, 5 I think (it's hilarious how similar and yet how different it is from the US version) and the Michael character (named Vince) is looking terribly familiar to me. The actor who plays him is named Craig Kelly- not only was he in Titanic, but he was in one of the Young Indiana Jones movies! One of the good ones, no less. LOL Pretty funny. I loved that guy. He's also going to be in Helen of Troy which I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing :-) Just something about men obsessing over a beautiful manipulative temptress that's exciting to me. ANYWAY, just though it was interesting.

I must say, I like the US version better all-around... but sometimes the UK version will have a line or two that surprises me. If I had the time, which I don't until May and certainly NOT this bloody weekend, I would sit down and map out differences in characteristics and dialogue along with social and cultural constraints and trends. Gods, I'm a geek. Anyway *sigh* I love this series. Unfortunately my buying of it on DVD will have to wait slightly until I get the damn estimate for the van. Bah.

Boyfriend just came over :-) He went to Walmart in town and got me the HP DVD!! *squeal* Isn't that sweet? What a sweet guy. Made my day. Unfortunately, he got me the full-screen instead of wide screen version, which means we have to go exchange it tonight before I can open and actually watch it. *can't stand the suspense*
But awww isn't that sweet of him? After my crappy day, I really needed that. Was a nice way to wake up, too :-)

Just picked up my van... $275 isn't bad for a tow and a new starter in a day, is it? I have no frame of reference to work off of LOL. Anyway, the old darling runs again, which is fabulous :-)

Boyfriend's computer is going nuts. He's reinstalled windows so many times I have a feeling he's messed things up royally, but he won't admit that of course. *pats computer* See, I just let my OS do exactly as it wants and once in a while it crashes but then again, once in a while my car needs fixing, too. It's a fact of life. But really, I have my comp on for months straight without needing a reboot, I have no complaints. He deletes dll files right and left and wonders why it doesn't start up correctly for him?
So right now he's reformatting everything on that partition (did I mention he's a Linux freak?) and even the reformatting command isn't being taken. Something seriously wrong and I feel so sorry for him. He's thinking of chucking the whole machine and just buying a new computer- he only bought this one two years ago. Anyway, see, this is why I have NO desire to control my computer and its OS. Changing things when you know about them is bad enough, but with me I could screw things up royally. Anyway, I feel badly for him.

Just read some Trading Spaces Slash. What a weird thing. I was watching TS today and it was the episode where Frank is sick and starts losing his voice, then the guy homeowner gets sick also- it's SO cute to hear men admit that they're not feeling well. So I was thinking about stories... and I have a real problem with Real Personal Sex let alone Real Person Slash so it was really weird to read about it. It was a Ty/Doug fic. I dunno... I might fancy a Vern story(the episode where he was sick and losing his voice was very cute too!)... but if I were writing one I'd have to invent homeowners to focus on because it just doesn't seem right, you know? RPS squicks me a little bit.

HP2 DVD

Ah, finally got ahold of it tonight- watched almost every second of the extras (sometimes twice) I love the added scenes- I can see why they cut out most of them, but I wish there was an extended version of the movie with them added in. And I still wish Peeves and the Vday bits had been in it.

Anyway, I'm currently working my way through the interviews again :-) I cried when Richard Harris said his little bit- he sounds SO much like he did in Camelot... his voice is so lovely. Alan was delicious!! And Jason Issacs, too. His was the first I watched. The kids are adorable, too. It was nice they gave Oliver a bit of time when talking about the characters... Sean's accent is to die for.
My favorite part so far? Tis hard to pick :-) But in the 'discussing favorite scene' section there's a nice slashy line *G* "Me and Rupert had a great time because we spent about a month in the flying car together" *sigh* Almost makes me inspired to play with some Harry/Ron slash LOL
But Sean's interview about his friends' reactions when he goes home "I'm still just the little guy from Glasgow" and that accent! He says the word 'fine' so beautifully...

The set and props and cinimatography sections are brilliant :-) I did props in high school theater so I've got a soft spot for them. But it's interesting to see what they focus on... the astronomy interest of Dumbledore's was apparently very important to them- I'm not sure that's really where I would have gone based on Dumbledore from the book. I associate telescopes and things with the astronomy tower or the centuars in the forest, not Dumbledore's office. Hrm... makes you think...

Anyway, tis a nice DVD. I'm very happy with it :-)
