Oh my gods. Weight watcher's recipie cards from 1974 is the funniest thing I've seen in a VERY long while. Tis run by a woman named Wendy and her sense of humor is excellent. Be sure to read the comments for each card and admire the delightful props by the food. LMAO!

Busy day... just dragged myself out of bed *groan* ANytime I have to get up before 3 is not a happy day.
I've got laundry to do.. at least one load. I can't find my gray hockey shirt... I looked for an hour last night. I'm so pissed at myself. How do you lose a shirt? Anyway, need to take the trash out, drive the recycling down and sort it properly, finish putting crap into its spot in the apartment, vacuum, scrub bathroom down thoroughly, and wash dishes.
I also have to write a 10 page paper from scratch today- all I need is a draft, but it needs to be 10 pages. And I haven't even thought of an angle yet.
Then, in less than 3 hours, I have dinner with my boyfriend's parents and some of our friends for his birthday.
UG. Sounds busy. First I have to wake up *blinks hard* This is going to be more a difficult day than I thought.

Entertainment last night
Apr. 12th, 2003 02:30 pmI watched 'The Big Tease' last night on DVD as well. Hilarious movie- the first time I've watched it all the way through in one go. It's a story about a Scottish hairdresser who comes to LA to be in a competition only to have his dreams shattered. So then it's his struggle to actually get INTO the competition. It stars the guy who plays the boss on the Drew Carey Show. I think his English accent is his actual one... but I saw him on a talk show and he was doing the Scottish one just to confuse people- he's pretty good at it LOL
I also walked in at the tail end of Dharma and Greg last night. UG! It was the one with Leonard! Leonard is played by Paul Johansen (who was the co-star in Highlander: the Raven with Elizabeth Gracen) so it's a great episode for me :-) But just as importantly, Greg has a cold throughout the episode and sneezes at least once, possibly twice but I haven't been able to tape or the very beginning so I really wanted to do so. UG. And I missed my chance. I also missed the one sneeze I do know about. Grrr. Bad timing. Oh well, I'll just have to catch it when it comes around again :-) Yummy Thomas Gibson sneezing and talking in cute, stuffy voice.

The Matrix Reloaded
Apr. 12th, 2003 03:08 pmI just watched the new trailer that came out yesterday for the next Matrix movie. Oohhh looks good! Looks very good!
I loved the car chase scene- some very interesting effects.
And it's good to see that Hugo Weaving's in it. Neo:"He's found a way to replicate himself. Now there's more of him. A lot more" My reply:"GOOD!" Cutie :-)
And in honor, I'm posting a picture from a joke site I think is somewhat appropriate :-)
Appropriate... that was the word of the day for Ted in 'Queer as Folk' in episode 6 (watched it yesterday). I found myself REALLY relating to Ted, how sad is that? Poor little Ted. His character in the UK version actually dies in episode 4. So I'm much happier with the US version for not taking the easy way out on that one.
Anyway, on with the picture:

heehee!

So my sister was supposed to come up this weekend to spend the week with me, doing the college thing and all that. Arg. She now says she wants to go back on Wed. Which means she's here for 2 and a half days which is NOTHING especially since I have class on Monday and on Wed I have a poster presentation in the afternoon so I have to work on it Tuesday.
On top of that, my best friends want me in Northern VA on Friday. UG. I f*cking hate travelling, let alone for my birthday. All I want to do lately is stay at home, watch tv, sleep, and do all this work I've got! And I know it's going to be fun and all, but damnit, now I have to worry about how to get up there- I can't drive, my van won't go on the interstate without falling apart. DAMNIT. This means f*cking greyhound again. I don't want to worry about this for my birthday! Shouldn't people take this kind of thing into consideration when planning events? Let ALONE how to get back down here! Have I mentioned I hate having to travel? I mean, I like being in new places, but I don't like getting there. So given the choice, most times I'd rather not, you know? At least not when it requires stressing to all oblivian about it!
Not to mention boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow and I have NOTHING for him and NO time to do anything with him. He doesn't care(he's getting up there in age to that point where he doesn't want to be any older- he's 5 years older than me), but I still feel badly, you know? I AM getting him stuff, we're just going to have to celebrate later.
On top of all this, I've got papers due Monday and I have NO idea what to write about. NO idea. Lit review portion of paper here I come... actual thought/analysis orginal content part- uh, no. Not so much.
I want to give up! ANd I'm fricking starving! STARVING. What the hell is wrong with me? I'm eating like I normally do. I just go from being perfectly fine to doubling over in starvation pains in 2-5 seconds. What the HECK? *sob* NOT a fun Sat. Let me tell you! And I didn't even get to vacuum! I have to wake up early to do that tomorrow morning! Ug... early... not my thing...
