Going Away for a few days...

I'm just now STARTING to pack to go away for the weekend. Celebrating my best friend's birthday up in New York. Whoa... deja vous! ;-)

I'll be gone Friday through Tuesday, I think. I might come home on Wednesday, but I hope not as I have a lot I want to do and want to get back sooner rather than later for my cat's sake if nothing else. He's VERY needy, my cat.

Anyway, I'm just going to sit on my fics and post them when I get back, that way I don't have to sort through my mailbox as much upon my return. I appreciate all the feedback you've given me about Deadly Medicine! It feels good to get something finished for a change :-) Glad it was enjoyable :-)

I'm going to find something to eat and then start organizing and packing. We're leaving here in... 5 hours and thirty minutes... hopefully I'll manage a few hours of sleep, between trying to pack and trying to clean. *crosses fingers*

Was watching Disney channel tonight (yeah, I'm a dork... it helps soothe me when I'm stressed) and Boy Meets World was on. It was one of the post-Cory/Topanga marriage episodes. Anyway, Cory's brother Eric (played by Will Friedle, whom I got to see in real life many years ago) had hit his head. The result was that every time he sneezed, he glimpsed the future. He must have sneezed at least a dozen times in the episode... very cute. Not drop dead incredible, but VERY cute :-) At one point, Jack was trying to pump him for lottery numbers and kept pushing pepper on him. *G*

I wish I'd been a bit less sleepy and could have taped it... but I'll have to look out for it in repeats. The episode title is 'How Cory and Topanga Got Their Groove Back' and it's season 7

Anyhoo... off to eat and set tape to record stargate for me while I'm gone! I can't watch it until I catch up (I'm halfway through season 5, though! I'm getting there!) but I want to have it readily at my disposal :-) Yay! Daniel's back!

HP- Order...

I listened to the 1 minute, 45 second excerpt from book 5 tonight (it's on Amazon.com, among other places). I have been trying like mad to avoid spoilers (haven't read the jackets, etc.) but I couldn't resist hearing Jim read it. WHOA. Sounds scary... I don't feel like it gave much away... btu did give me something to think about... and something to tide me over for the next week! EEEKKK! I'm SO excited :-) I swear, that weekend I'm going to do nothing but read :-)

Anyway... it's a good listen... kinda odd cuz it's out of context and makes reference to something scary that happened... but it's near the beginning of the book, I think. If you're at all eager for the book, I say give it a listen :-)
