Updates...

Posted a short fic over on lotrhpsneeze this afternoon. It's Harry (so people can't say I'm not doing my part when they complain about the lack of Harry fics) but it's a pretty big downer in spots. It's post-Order of the Phoenix and very angst-ridden death-wise, yet doesn't actually come out and say who died because, as much as I love that character, the fic's about Harry dealing. I wrote it in, like, two hours, maybe three, off and on while watching QAF. So it's not my best... but the beginning is good... and I draw some LotR parallels that worked well I think. Or maybe they were too contrived and forced? I dunno. No one's given me feedback so it's hard to tell how much the fic sucks LOL But I wrote it quickly so I'm not expecting much :-)
Actually, it's supposed to be at the end of OotP... right before Harry goes home from Hogwarts. Shoot... I should have mentioned that in the intro... oh well, hopefully people can figure that out when and if they read it, right? :-)

Had a little time to work on 'Giving' tonight, as well. Poor Aragorn... having a cold is NOT easy in such company as Legolas and Gimli. This thing bounces around so much that I'm getting worried no one will be able to follow it... but I've got a beta for it so hopefully huge problems like that will be dealt with before I post :-)

I'm waiting for boyfriend to call so we can go to Walmart. I'm out of frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I NEED my frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! I also need popsycles. Ug. I know. Frozen sugar water does not equal trying to lose weight. But my throat's been killing me (gosh darn allergies) and those are the only things that seem to help sometimes. Plus my fridge is dying so I can only buy frozen stuff now. My freezer still works if I crank it up to its near-highest setting (which is 5, so it's on 4 right now).
But chances are, boyfriend will NOT call and I'll be stuck driving there and back in the middle of the night myself. What do you want to bet he doesn't call? *does her best Ludo Bagman impression*

I've heard through the grapevine that the Harry Potter 3 Movie Trailer will make its first appearance in theaters before the Matrix: Revolutions movie. OK, I like the Matrix a lot but JUST for the trailer, assuming this info's corrent, I can totally see myself going on opening day *G* heehee

On another note, darnit! Buildpage is down! *grumble*
Ah well, that's what I have a mirror site for... assuming you can stand the annoying pop-up ads...

Catching up...

Yesterday I got caught up with QAF- like I said in a previous post. Was sad to read the end of a season so soon, but it was a great end. *snuggles Teddy*

I'm also officially finally catught up on Stargate. I saw my last remaining episode yesterday (607, Shadow play) so now I can say I've seen every epsiode at least once :-)

I also finished up the first round of Weiss! Yeppers, eps 1-24 are are finally watched- somewhat in the correct order, too :-) 24 had me worried. I was certain they weren't dead... I was just sure of it... then the "montage" started and I was shocked LOL Loved the part where they're all taking turns saving each other. Or at least, most of them are. Cute boys :-)
Looking forward to starting the Weiss Kreuz Gluhen episodes now! *G*
And I capped it all off last night with watching bloopers from episodes that were dubbed. LMAO There were two nice Ken/Omi jokes in there that the actors made, so that was a nice, happy way for it to end for me :-)

Anyway... yesterday was a nice day of closure, I suppose you could say.

Yeah... I'm a hopeless case, but gotta do something to cheer myself up after Order :-)

Just got my "Moony" plushie in the mail today (wow, that was FAST) He's the PERFECT size to fit with Padfoot and Wormtail... I'm very happy... And pretty amberish/brown eyes but his nose matches Padfoot's very nicely... oohhhh I'm happy! *squeeeeee!*

My kitty liked him, too... rubbed noses with him... pawed his head as though he wanted it to play with him... I think he's figured out now it's not a real animal, though, which is good.

But YAY! This makes my day. Eeek! :-) heehee

Morality debates...

I'm trying to figure out where I stand on my vegetarianism right now. It's been a pretty trying afternoon. *sigh*
My boyfriend and another couple we hang with a lot(they're married) and I are going to our local Japanese steakhouse tomorrow- you know, the sort of place where they cook in front of you and do the onion volcano and shrimp tossing and all that.

I've been a hundred times before- I always order the hibachi shrimp... but I haven't been since I became a vegetarian. Now, usually watching him prepare the meat squicks me a bit, so I just don't watch. But it's a bit different now that I've told myself that I don't eat seafood. I'll be forced to order one of the salads and that's it. And I don't care about the amount of food... I just don't like to get singled out. And I would love to enjoy it all with them- eating the rice and sprouts and mushrooms and zuccini and onion and salad and soup that come with the meal is fine... Man... why couldn't they have a hibachi veggies choice? *sigh*
I don't know why I'm suddenly being tempted into eating seafood now, though. It's just that I haven't really been in a situation like this where there's nothing else to eat. But I don't suppose that's really any reason to go against my morals, though.

I don't know. Maybe I should read Ishmael and Ecotopia again and feel better about standing up for my beliefs *sits up straighter* Peer pressure be damned, I'll just drink water if I have to and they can laugh all they want at me. Or maybe I can order the hibachi shrimp hold the shrimp? heehee I do that at Burger King "Saussage and egg biscuit meal, without the saussage". But it's a little different to eat a salad while people are catching shrimp in their mouths and watching dead pieces of chicken do dances across the stove to our school song(our, um, school mascot is a bird). Why couldn't they have a hibachi tofu choice? LOL
People always make such a big deal when I can't eat something, worrying about what I should order, pointing out the pathetic options on the menu that I wouldn't consider anyway, etc. Wish people would just deal and move on and stop brining it up... it's a personal choice- it's not like I tell them what they should eat or ever bring up the subject. But I guess it's human nature to be fascinated with things that are different from us...

Methinks I need to move to California or Oregon or the Findhorn Garden or something :-)
