I'm back home... finally :-)
Unloaded car (took me 6 trips, and there's still a little still in the car I haven't bothered with) and set right to work on thesis like a good little girl :-) Imagine that! The drive was horrible- I was driving right into the sun the whole time and I was blinded at sunset for at least an hour. And the winds nearly knocked me off the highway twice!

I'm doing okay... have a doctor's apointment tomorrow at 1, after two morning meetings, which means tomorrow will not be fun at all *sigh*

I got at least 3 new plot bunnies over the break, though I won't have any time to write until at least the first draft of my thesis is finished *sigh* I even refused sex and dinner with my boyfriend tonight. I think he hates me, but I *have* to work! He doesn't get that concept. Then again, he's on his FOURTH YEAR finishing his MASTER'S degree(which is supposed to only take 2) *rolls eyes*

Went to see 'Timeline' with sister on Sat. I liked it a lot, though I bet the book was much better, as sister said it was. No surprise, Crichton's a genius :-) But oohhhhh MANY cute men with yummy accents!!! And sword fighting and beautiful battles at night and passions for history and accents and true love and awwwwww! Very good movie! I enjoyed it a lot and am wanting to read the book now!
David Thewlis did indeed play a baddie... but I didn't hate him as much as usual. He's starting to slowly grow on me. I was trying to get that cute vibe from him... but it was hard as his accent changed constantly throughout the film (sometimes normal British, sometimes American-hollywood, sometimes AMerican-southern) very confusing! But it was nice seeing him on the big screen... which I hadn't seen since Dragonheart *gag* He certainly looked better in Timeline *G*

Watched a lot of neat channels over the break... my parents have digital cable finally, with over 700 channels(as a promo for a few months)! It's incredible- I didn't know there was so much crap on tv. I watched:
-the last 3 episodes of Carnivale on HBO. FREAKY weird series. I like Ben a lot, though. And the ensemble is interesting *G* I like it much
-The Anniversary Party- with Alan Cummings and a whole buncha people. It was on the Encore-Love channel but it was more about not being in love, I think. Ach, but it was grand. I liked... even if it was a little weird, too
-LotR- both extended versions of movies- made my dad sit through it all (okay, I pressured him and he enjoyed it, even if he fell asleep at good parts)
-HP- watched 'em both multiple times... they're *always* on tv apparently
-Signs- whoa. I didn't want to see that movie because I think that believing crop circles are from aliens is the stupidest idea in the world. There's tons of documented evidence, videotapes, and interviews from people who make them that show they can be made in a matter of hours using a board and two pieces of rope. Aliens? Ah, no. Anyway, I still enjoyed the movie and was freaked out at times. I really enjoyed the main characters, though. The younger brother was adorable *snuggle* and the kids were so cute. I liked it, and I hadn't expected to at all
-Dinner for 5- IFC had a 22 hour marathon of this show on Thanksgiving and I watched somewhere from 10-11 hours of it (it repeated episodes after a while, sadly) What a fantastic show!!! It's like watching DVD commentary without the movie to distract you *G* It's amazing to look in on conversations famous actors, writers, and directors have... and the combinations were interesting, as well. And one of the episodes had my Joe Pants!!!!! *giddy bounces* Oohhhh I'm SOOOO wanting his book now! I love that guy to death, I really do. Character actors- good character actors- really are the backbone of the industry.
-Truly, Madly, Deeply- actually, I nearly died when I stumbled onto the end of it on Wednesday... it repeated Sat morning so I taped it. I've only seen a bit, but I'm dying to watch Alan... sneezing... and being quirky and dead. The beginning had me in tears already. *giddy bounces*
-American Ninja 2- a long story, trust me, but I met one of the actors in it... and the movie has to now be on my top ten worst movies ever watched... it's got a whole lot of MSt3k qualities! LOL
-Hockey- I watched at least 5 different hockey games and the best part was the caps actually WINNING 5 to 2 (when the previous night they lost 2 to 5, I think)
-Lots of random shows... lots of BBC America (Office, MP's Flying Circus) and HBO (Larry David, Sopranos- did I meantion I LOVE Joe?) and Game Show Network. I was dissapointed by anime selections over the weekend... but guess I can't have everything!
