Unsuccessful trip

Not such a great trip to Walmart... got Pirates of the Caribbean *jumps up and down happily* but couldn't find any good socks... and they were out of boyfriend's cat's cat treats... and I completely forgot trash bags- DOH!- and they didn't have any croissants, either. So, eh, I'll just have to go again tomorrow.

They also didn't have Highlander, Season 3 on DVD! *pout* I was hoping for it! I thought it came out at the end of November, but maybe I'm wrong. Ah well, I shall continue to look.

My parents' dog ate my shoes over break, so I bought new ones last Friday (ug... I HATED having to shop on that Friday... commercialism suckith much. So much for it being a no-shop day for me, sorry!) and they're brown, so I have to go buy dark socks now to match. I own, like, 3 pairs of dark socks. But Walmart's sock selection wasn't too good.

Anyhoo, I also bought 'Rose Red' because I've had a craving to watch it (it's, like, 4.5 hours long) but I only have it taped off TV and I'm always in my bedroom on the computer. So now I can watch it on DVD and fill my urge for horrible but beautiful Steven King movies. I don't like his horror stuff... I like his stories when they're character-driven. And this has a fantastic bunch of characters, and BEAUTIFUL sets. Not so beautiful that I'd fall in love with the house... but beautiful all the same.

I've got a meeting in 7 hours... and I'm dead tired... but have barely begun working on thesis *sigh* The drive home today was SO long. Stop-and-go traffic for a long while thanks to construction. And I'm starving... haven't had breakfast, lunch, or dinner today, just a few granola bars and an orange. I go eat and sleep now, I think. You know it's sad when you buy a "two week supply of milk" and it's so small that the check out lady asks if you want to keep it out to drink on the car ride home. You also know it's sad when half the night staff at Walmart recognize you and say hi.

Plot bunnies...

I had a number of great plot bunnies for the challenge bite over my break... but I'm especially happy about a Sirius/Remus one that I figured out on my solo drive to Walmart tonight. It's going to ROCK! *G* John Tesh *gag* was playing Christmas music... and there was a mistletoe song on... oohhhhh yummy snogging puppies!!!

Damn, I wish I had time. I just... I just need to stop time for a few hours and get all this work *done*! :-)

Anyhoo, I'm going off to eat and wash hair and tape Inu Yasha because there's a quasi-adorable hurt/comfort scene in tonight's episode. Gah, I'm not a fan of the English dubbing... but h/c is yummy so I'm not complaining.

Nice meetings

I had some nice meetings this morning with research group and advisors. No depression/tears this time. YAY! :-) And I'm trying to set a date to defend. A DATE! It might be the week of the 15th... gods, this is TERRIFYING! I'm MUCH more behind than I'd like to be... but it'll come together soon. I'm working on it :-)

And I had another user test the site... he didn't like the site (couldn't find things) but he tested it and provided good translations, so that's what counts! :-)
I'm going to test it next week in a class! Gah! Scary! Then I'll have results analyzed and the conclusion to do and CRIPES! I'll be done and finished with my damn thesis at last! Just need to write in the meantime.

Oohhh so tired... just 3 hours of sleep last night... and I'm STARVING right now... think I'll eat a tv dinner... veggie lazagna- yummy! Yeah, it just takes a week of eating at my parents' place to remember why I like what I do. LOL!

I think I'm going to celebrate a happy morning by popping in PotC on DVD to watch the extras and writing a little challenge fic *G* It's nagging at me! Er, that's after I submit a paper to two places... or, rather, figure out how to do so... basically, I just need to stay awake until my damn doctor's appointment at 1, LOL! Tired...

Zetsuai 1989

I just watched Zetsuai 1989... now that is one absolutely wonderful screwed up love story! *sigh* But passionate... and packed with emotion... and desire... and unrequited love... and confusion... and lust... ohhh and yummy men! And the number of times the characters got sick and took care of each other... or were out in the rain... DAMN! They're making it too easy on me!!! But, really, lots of angst, lots of hurt, and a truck-load of passion. Not to mention a cute soccer player in shorts and another pretty blonde boy *G*

Wow... was worth it just to hear Takehito Koyasu sneeze- ohhh with SUCH a build-up, too!!! *VBG* Okay, so where was that sneezey!Aya fic I started?
Not to say that Hayami Shou didn't do sick badly, of course. But mmmmm... *G* It's one of those days, you know? *EG* Takehito Koyasu sneezing... YUM!

What a beautiful anime... so much angst... and SO much love... ah... just Koji's helpless look when he wants Izumi to win his soccer match *sigh* Definitely Yaoi as it should be! Not that I need to get addicted to another series... and Bronze seems to be escaping my reach online anyway, so maybe it's for the best right now. I have enough mangas on the list to purchase! :-)
