Fic update...
Jan. 26th, 2004 06:57 amFinished my squel to 'Love and Lightheartedness' Well, the first draft at least. Since I posted L&L onlist, I think I'll do the same for this one. That only makes sense. It was a fun write- and at times I thought it would never be done. I think it's rushed in a few places as well, so I might flush it out a little more, still. But at least the first draft is done. That's the hard part.
I started watching 'Rose Red' again. I don't know why I like the movie so much. It's not all that great, even with the characterization. I think it's the mystery... and the really, really pretty house. And the backstory. I LOVE movies with backstories. I think I'm going to have to rent the Diary of Ellen Rimbauer on DVD as soon as the snow clears and I can get to the video store. We had lots of snow today. Well, I dunno, 4 or 5 inches. Started Sunday morning around 9am and was still going at 2pm. I don't remember when it stopped, but by 5 it certainly had. It's so pretty out. We're supposed to get freezing rain today on top of it. Which is nice, except that I was stupid and didn't get a lot of food before the storm. I certainly have enough to last me, though.
Anyhoo... think I'll go nap a while. It's 7am. Time for bed :-) Even my cat seems to think so, he's all curled up at the foot of my bed waiting for me. Ahhh. I adore dogs, don't get me wrong. But there's just something about a loyal, friendly, cuddley, playful kitty that has no equal. And apart from his tendency to eat plastic, to pull trash(plastic) from the trashcans and eat it, and to panic when I leave the room and he can't see me, mine's a perfect companion :-)
