Strange night

Lots of pain last night... ended up getting up at 3:30 to take pain killers. Had a really, really strange dream about being on a reality show with my family and having sex with William Hung(from American Idol) several times. It was really vivid, too. I seemed to be enjoying it in the dream, though *shudder* Very, very strange dream. Jerri from Survivor was there, too. She had chocolate bars for everyone, but she was still getting voted out of the house. And my "cousin" kept walking in on the sex and we kept having to hide from the cameras. And there was something about going to see some movie and they messed up the film reel during the viewing and... actually, I'll stop before it gets even weirder. You'd all probably thank me. Point is, it was a very strange dream. I haven't slept long enough to have a dream I remembered in a LONG time. Which is probably because I haven't slept in my bed for 3 weeks now. And the TV and lights only get turned off when I leave my apartment.

I woke up to 'The Goonies' playing on TV. Awwww. I'm surprised the opening song didn't wake me up from sleep(the opening song of National Lampoon's vacation woke me around 7am) But I only missed the first 15 minutes. Yay! Little Sean and little Corey and my Joey Pants!!!!!!! What happy, yummy things to wake up to! Yes yes! Love this movie. It's the first time I've seen it since I watched the commentary (and it's cute to see how much they cut out of the tv version) Makes me want to go watch Rudy now... oohhh or Indiana Jones 2 (which I got on DVD for Christmas)

I'm feeling a bit better. Called Mom about something unrelated yesterday and she said not to worry about money. She said the stock market was doing better and they could cover me if I needed them to. And I may. But I still might pick up a couple applications for stupid jobs, just in case, when I go out this afternoon.
But thanks much for all the help and nice words yesterday, Everyone. I'm sure it will get better... I just don't know how to take that next step. I don't want to work for a company, which makes career searches difficult. ANd those things I do run across that I like, I'm not qualified for. Plus I'm leaving this area in 2 and a half months (lease expires) so I don't want anything local as far as careers go. Which makes it more difficult to search. (Restricts me to online, and most of the types of places I want to be don't have an online presence) Yeah. Trés difficile. Is that right? Gods I don't remember anything from my 8 years of French.

On a good note, I came up with a fun story idea for the Spring-themed Legolas/Aragorn story I started months and months ago. Yay! :-) And I think I'm going to try to finish the Friday Fic today. Though it violates my rule since it's obviously past Friday. Still, I'm having fun with the story and I promised someone on e-mail I'd write it. Might as well finish a story for a change :-) I think I might try and clean up a couple of the non-sneezefic stories I've written and post them on my site as well. I'm SO less motivated to edit them. LOL ;-) But there are a couple yummy ones that need sharing :-)

More ramblings

Oh, and Joan of Arcadia wasn't on CBS for me last night. DAMNIT! All they showed was basketball. I was so annoyed. Ick. I frickin hate basketball. Soooooo slow and boring. And all those fouls they pull at the end *rolls eyes* Then again, most any sport sucks in comparison with hockey. And I'm starting to get used to having no players on my hockey team, now. Oh, well, Olie's there, and Witters... and Halpy... and Zubie... and er... others I don't know the name of because they just got here. Oh, but our new Black guy... er... Jean-Luc Grand-Piere (I'm spelling that wrong, I'm sure) is adorable! *snuggles* Not a good a fighter as Simon or Peat... but certainly held his own last night. Cutie.

But Stargate last night... I was terrified that after all that, the library hadn't downloaded into Jack's head. Which would have been terrible. Still... I cried a little at parts... SO sweet and SOOO sad... I love that group. I don't like change. Poor Hammond of Texas *sniffles*

Oh, and I figured out what fandom I think I want for next week's Friday Fic. Time Trax. Anyone ever watch that? Gods, I was obsessed with that show. I have most of them on tape still. My favorite's the Mark Twain episode where Darrien has a concussion and passes out halfway through the episode. *EG* Cutie. Yeah. I was hopeless even back then :-)

I'm actually thinking of writing a whole series... taking one detail from this story and writing another 60 minute fic based off that, and so on. I think that would be a fun exercise for me :-) Not that I need more exercise... well, not this kind anyway. But this kind is much more fun than the real kind :-)

Is there a good reason that, among the Harry Potter fanfics featured in this month's special Prisoner of Azkaban issue of Movie Magic is the "story" Naked Quidditch??? Anyone actually try to read that? I spent about 3 hours trying to get through it all and I think I gave up... if I didn't, I can't remember the ending. It's... gah... it's a struggle. Funny, yes, but not the best writing... gah... I can't believe that made the list. Half of the stories I've not read though, so I can't comment on them. Obviously all MY favorites didn't make the list, but I shouldn't wonder. Not everyone likes to put stories with naked Sirius and Remus shagging on broomsticks in a kid's publication.

Not a lot of new pics in the magazine, obviously. But some of my favorites *snuggles the shack scene* And my all-time favorite one of Snape, so that's yummy. Though I'm mad that Hedwig's suddenly a barn owl, not a snowy owl. WTF? And some adorable interviews with the LotR cast about it being over. Oohhh and DAMN fine pics of Orli with his AIDS ribbon on and Hugh Jackman. *wants to strip Hugh out of his sexy monster-hunting garb* The magazine also has an OZ artle with a picture of John Ritter from The Dreamer of OZ (which I stole from home the last time I was there... haven't had time to watch it... I've been crying enough lately without it! LOL) Even has a photo from Dragonheart... luckily, no butt-ugly!Thewlis, just Sean Connery the dragon and Dennis Quaid. But the bestest part was where they talk about my wonderful Highlander on DVD "clever story-telling, exciting sword fighting" Yay! *is glad the show is not forgotten*

Cute issue. Cute cute. Nothing too startling... nothing new to me, but then again I've been reading spoilers from people who've actually seen the movie and all that. And I've read all the set reports several times over. It's just nice to have some of my favorite pictures in tangible form... and some of the articles are very cute :-)

Going out to dinner tonight with friends. Having Mexican (ick) There are two dishes there I can actually eat (i.e. veggie dishes that aren't too spicy) but they're both good... compared to the other 2 Mexican places in town where I can eat the garden salad and that's it. Should be fun-ish. I need to eat. Haven't eaten anything yet today except for one of those small yogurt smoothie thingies. It expired today, so I had to drink it. LOL

Oh! And YAY! Good news! my boy Scott Cohen is going to be in a new NBC show (er, or at least the pilot... and assuming that does well, the whole show) entitled "The Men's Room". It's a comedy, so that should be fun! The 10th Kingdom is as close to comedy as I've ever seen him in... though his characters always seem to have some sort of sense of humor (even when he's ambiguously bad like Denby on NYPD Blue) I just wanted to snuggle him on Gilmore Girls and he definitely had a sense of humor there. So it'll be great to see him in something funny. And I just hope it takes off. It co-stars Eric Lively ("A Minute with Stan Hooper") and John Cho ("Off Centre," "American Wedding"). But obviously I shall be watching it for Scott. *Happy bounces*

I did one of these new picture Meme thingies with Johnny Depp earlier and I kept getting his character from Blow. Which is sad, since I've never seen that movie. I tried a couple other values for my age, and once I got Ichabod.

Dinner was great. We went for ice cream afterwards, and that rocked, too. Dinner was all "when are we going to get jobs, boo hoo, we can't get hired" crap. And ice cream was all "Tell us more about the other Highlander movies" and "We are 1 disk from finishing watching Stargate Season 1 on DVD". heehee Our two friends just bought Season 1. They'd seen a couple episodes of season 6 and now they started to watch the whole series. YAY! People in RL to swoon over Daniel with! Okay, well, they're maried (to each other) but point is, RL people to talk about the show with! Boyfriend has never seen the show and barely remembers the movie. Which is a shame. Ah well. I can only do so much, right?
