Faerie Tale Theatre is coming out on DVD as a full set (instead of just individual disks)!!! This was one of my absolute favorite shows as a child (did I mention I was raised on PBS?) OMG but I've been DYING for this to come out on DVD! Now all I need are Pound Puppies, Zoobilee Zoo, and Square One and my geeky childhood will be completely re-lived *giggle* But I'm soooooo happy! Is a little expensive... but so worth it. And several different set formats to choose from. Oohhh!

I feel horribly embarrassed to ask this... but did anyone watched Saved by the Bell: the college years? And, if so, does anyone remember sneezing in an episode? I have this memory of an episode where there was a cold going around that Zack and Slater got (and possibly the RA guy... Mike? Was that his name?) I can remember images and whole lines of dialgue, and I feel like the part I remember with them sick happened at the end of an episode, like when the credits were rolling. But I also have a horrible feeling that that was just one of the stories I wrote in my head. I told myself some of them so many times when I was young that it feels like it was a real episode when, in actuality, it wasn't. So... I thought I'd ask. Blushingly. I don't expect anyone to actually know. And I know I've been through the episode summaries online without finding anything. But I figured I would ask. At least it will provide people with amusement, right? *blush*

Life's pretty much doing the usual thing here. I called about donating blood on Sunday. There's a blood drive at my local library- which is fantastic because the 4 blood donation centers in my area are all not even in my city and most aren't in my county. Which, I suppose, is why they have a roaming bloodmobile or two :-) And the library is a 10-15 minute walk from my house, which is nice. I'll probably walk over and then have someone pick me up if I can't walk back. But I should probably be fine. I used to walk home after giving blood back when I was in my college town and that was a 30 minute walk on a good day. ANyway, I've never given blood here before but I assume it's no different from the Red Cross. And I'm glad to be of service. Their website says they have less than a day's supply of blood for my blood type. Which makes me feel restless and a bit guilty. So this is good. Plus free orange juice! So that makes me very happy!

Right now the strategy I'm taking with my rec journals is posting whatever pops into my mind whenever it pops into my mind. Lots of things out there right now. But as more gets posted, I'm sure I'll rec more recent things as well. I'm kind of having fun re-living fics as they pop into my head, demanding to be recommended! LOL

And the end-of-year challenge. Need to get started on that soon. I have a couple bunny ideas. Must make a list. Haven't heard from Annalisa in a while (though I expect she's got quite a lot going on at the moment, and this is the last place she needs to be using her time up on!). But it would be great to get that up and started so as not to have to worry about it.

And y'all need to stop writing fics! LOL! Am starting to feel over my head with coding for the archive. Every time I think I'm catching up, I wake up the next morning to find 2 new fics posted. LOL No, really, I don't mind. It's just a lot of stuff I need to catch up on after my month off with sneezy Obi. Mmm. I like the sound of that... and, speaking of which, I fleshed out that Obi-fic bunny that popped into my head a couple days ago. It's going to be long. And angsty. And I'll probably never, ever get the time to write it, let alone finish it. But it's a very yummy bunny and it's been sneaking into my thoughts a lot today as I was driving or trying to stay awake during work.

I just finished the "first" draft of that Remus & Snape story (the extension of the one little bit I posted here a long while ago) For several days I've been trying to force it, not quite knowing how it would end. But I just wrote the ending and it's damn good if I do say so myself! *pats self on the back* It's 7am and I have work in a couple of hours but I'm SO excited and it was well worth staying up to finish it! It suddenly started flowing around 5am and I couldn't stop writing to go to bed. This is such a relief! I've edited parts already, and added a few things here and there to tie everything together... I think it worked well. It's just what I had in mind. I'm very pleased with it. ANd even if no one else picks up on some of the things I added, I made myself happy to make it tie all together so well.
So now I just need to give it another full edit and then I'll start posting it! It's 36 pages, which is rather respectable. That comes to a little more than 5 pages a chapter on average. Not bad at all considering that bit I posted on my LJ before was 5 pages long. Yes. I'm pleased. And quite relieved. Aaaaaand I'm rambling.

Well, that and I just finished watching the last episode of season 4 of QAF. *cries* I love that show!!!
