My life is crazy. I love it.
I went to my first ever burlesque show last week. It was Doctor Who burlesque. Cyberwoman, Amy giving lady!Eleven a lapdance, weeping angel, lady!Rory in flanal with a Centurian outfit underneath. I SO fucking approved. The only one that made me a little uncomfortable was the girl in the gas mask who had little gas mask-like eye goggle pasties. That was just... creepy. LOL There was even a Dalek for comic relief and she mentioned HIGHLANDER in a song she sang! (and, like, every other fandom I love) They played Chameleon Circuit music before the show, and it was so much fun standing there with my friends, singing along to it, surrounded by a bunch of fellow Whovians (who somehow DIDN'T know all the songs by heart and hadn't heard of Trock-what's their problem?). My favorite moment of the night was when the MC, dressed as Ten, made his entrance and the sound effects guy played a clip of the knocking and I whimpered and said "Too Soon!" and some guy about 5 feet away heard me and repeated it and soon everyone in the crowd was yelling "Too soon!" Ten said, laughing, "Too soon? How do you think *I* feel?" It made me feel awesome. Because I'm not the Gryffindor leadery type and for one brief moment I was clever *G* Anyway, Doctor Who Burlesque was epic. And there were two shows that night, back to back, and both sold out. So I HOPE that is a sign to the people who put it on that there should be MORE of the same.

Pervy_Werewolf isn't doing the Lusy Month of May this year (first time in... 8 years? 9? *cries*) But those of us in denial who wanted to continue the smutty May tradition are playing with Harry Potter characters over at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
hp_may_madness. All pairings welcome! I wonder if Destiel Hogwarts AU will count? I'm gonna try to sneak it in and see if anyone notices. LOL
And of course I wrote something on Sammy's birthday (which is also Hogwarts Day, the anniversary of the big battle & final defeat of Voldemort; I think Sam would approve). Guess What Day It Is?
Tomorrow I leave early for a weekend with friends in a little historic town in West Virginia. I haven't been there since... I think... 1997 (and that was just for an afternoon). So my memories of the place are fuzzy. I look forward to scouring it and snarfing the heck out of the place. My GPS is broken AGAIN. And the piece isn't scheduled to arrive until tomorrow. So I'll probably JUST miss it in the mail and I might have some trouble getting there/back.
But before I leave, I have to wire $27,500 to the title company because I'm closing on the house on Monday! SQUEE! I went there today (it's a mess; hasn't been cleaned yet) and it's starting to actually feel real. Not entirely... but I keep staring at the house thinking "I'm going to OWN this thing! It's where I'm going to LIVE!" I wonder how long it'll take before that actually sinks in all the way? Probably quite some time.
Today I left work at noon, dropped a book at a statue on campus, went to a library volunteer luncheon, went to a dentist appointment, went to my allergist to get a shot in each arm, and then went to the house for the early walk through. Yeah. Busy day! And I haven't written a single word (shit; it's so late already!) or even started packing for the weekend. ARGH! *flails about in panic mode*
