Growl. OK, so I'm going to take much longer with the story. The language is killing me- it's beautiful, yes, I just suck at them and am having trouble finding nice authentic sources with phrases and vocabulary I need. No worries... it'll just be a while. I was a bit frustrated a while ago, but am much calmer now and am confident that by the tenth or eleventh rewrite this will be a decent story. :-)

Delurking...(warning..Long Post!)
I have been a HUGE fan of your writings and a frequent visitor to your web page since it's initial conception. I discovered the internet, fanfiction, and that my long time interest in sneezing was a fetish all at around the same time, during my first semester in college. What an awakening!
I've been a lurker on almost all the various boards and pages for years now. I tried my hand at chatting once or twice at the Sneezing Girls chat page under the name 'JD', and posted a few comments and a little feedback as 'luvmulder' over at Sneezatorium (was that the name? not quite sure anymore), the first gathering place for all male sneezing fiction. My fandoms at that time were SW:TPM and Stargate SG-1. I was sad to see that site eventually go down, and I'm so glad we have the yahoo groups now to keep the spirit of that board alive!
Anyway, regardless of whether you remember me or not from my occasional delurkings, I wanted to offer you encouragement and a massive amount of thanks for all the years of work you've done for us all!
Ok now, getting to my initial reason for breaking my silence and writing you: I am completely, hopelessly, utterly in love with LOTR and especially Legolas! I have been waiting ever since the first movie came out for someone to write sneezefic involving Legolas...I was starting to get worried that everyone loved only Harry Potter and Star Wars, and that I was alone in my LOTR obsession. You don't know how happy I was when you announced you were writing a Legolas fic!
I have what I feel is an excellent command of the world and events surrounding LOTR, both before and after the movieverse. I've read the trilogy dozens of times, and I've also read 'The Hobbit' and 'The Silmarillion' (Tolkien's mythology and history of early Middle-earth), though sadly, I just can't seem to learn how to speak any of the elvish languages. I've been working with Hermione Eveningfall to help her brainstorm fic ideas, and I'd be more than happy to extend my help to you in any manner you wish. I've never beta-read before, but I'd be more than happy to try, or to answer any questions you might have about the world of LOTR and its characters. Just let me know if I can help, and I'll do my best!

P.S. Thanks again, and thanks for letting me use your livejournal to delurk. Hopefully, I'll continue to be confident enough to not hide in the shadows anymore. I don't have a livejournal of my own right now, but you can find me on AOL IM or get in touch with me through Hermione.
Re: Delurking...(warning..Long Post!)
Date: 2003-03-14 09:48 am (UTC)Nermal wrote a LotR Ara/Leg story a while back named 'You're all that's left to hold onto' which I haven't reread since I didn't want to be swayed when writing my own. It's message 398- 413 on sneezefic. Silverelf wrote one entitled 'Pure Sunlight' which is post 406. There's also message 392-394 (can you tell I'm going backwards through the archive?) 'Resting' by gingersnapsryummy. These were all posted while I was away on my winter break so if there were more I've forgotten, very sorry. Anyway, be sure to check those out if you've not already. You're very, very much not alone in your fandom tastes :-)
Anyway, a HUGE thank you for the encouragement- it was MUCH needed last night as I tried to figure things out. And it's nice to know I'm not driving everyone insane with my mentionings of the story ten times a day LOL But really, thank you soooo much for your post- it really meant a lot. And I hope you like the story!
