I splurged tonight during my Walmart run... bought Tagalong ice cream (the baker who does girl scout cookies for my region of the US sucks, and can't use the same recipies and names as the girl scout cookies I'm used to) I've had a craving for Tagalongs lately, though there goes my diet *sigh*
And I bought 'The Goonies' on DVD It's always been one of my favorite movies and it's been one I've wanted on DVD for a long, long time now. I always had a big ol' crush on Mikey as a kid (which is probably half of the reason I love Samwise so much) but it's got Sean AND Joey Pants (and Corey Feldmen *sigh* and Josh Brolin who was in Nightwatch with Ewan and Jonathan Ke Quan who is still the BEST part of the second Indiana Jones movie, IMHO other than the joke on the bridge with him trying to shoot the guy with swords but not having guns) Anyway, I just couldn't resist. At least, not for $15. It was such a big movie to me back as a kid. AND there's commentary with Sean and Corey and many others *G* I love commentaries *G* And this one shows them as they comment on the movie- poor Sean seems self conscious about his weight, though. :-) And when Joey comes on screen they all seem very happy to see him and point him out. Yay! Too cute. heehee Okay, I'll stop rambling now.
I also bought some... I dunno what they're called. Stretch bands, I think? They're used in Pilates. I started to do my Yoga-pilates(which they're calling Yogalates *giggle*) workout today and the woman giving the instructions said I'd need 'em. So I got them. 3 for $10, with different difficulty levels, so that's great. I can work up to them. I like low-impact work-outs. Course I just say that now because I did a high-impact workout earlier today and am still hurting. LOL
So, yeah, splurging. But it's acceptable. Sean and Joey. It's a classic, right? *goes off to watch more*
Edit(2 hours later): I must remember never to watch this movie with commentary again while eating. Nearly choked I was laughing so hard. Wish Sean could have stuck around longer *sniffles* But, man, that was too much fun :-) Good purchase, I've decided.

Splurging...

Date: 2004-02-02 05:29 am (UTC)Have I ever mentioned how much I love that LJ icon of yours? *giggle* I can just hear Olando's somewhat-hushed voice saying it as it cycles through :-)
Re: Splurging...

The parts in Fangorn are right up there as my favorite parts of TTT, along with Helm's Deep and the orc killing contest. And luckily, I have plenty more icons about those topics, which you'll no doubt be seeing some point in the next few months. :)

Date: 2004-02-02 05:48 am (UTC)*blush* I must also admit very guiltily that I am a member of no LJ communities but visit both that one and the my fandom icon community often (the my fandom one more often than the LotR one) by going through your profile. They're such interesting communities to visit... I get a kick out of my fandom icons, especially. I've made a bunch, but no courage to actually post them anywhere other than my own website :-) Anyway, thank you for lovely tastes in icons... hope you don't mind me going through you all the time to get to those communities... *blush*
