Fun night, this. Went to see boyfriend's practice talk for his thesis defense (finally). He's driving me CRAZY with it. I don't mind when guys aren't always confident and in control, but he keeps fucking asking me if his color scheme for his poerpoint presentation was better when he used yellow letters on black or white letters on blue. ANd he asked me something like 20 times today if he was okay. I finally literally just said to him "Shut up! I said you were wonderful!" Because he really was. He did a very good job and has NOTHING to worry about, and I'm the queen of worrying needlessly. But he's REALLY getting on my nerves about it. I wish he'd just stop making this all so much more than it is. GROWL

Anyway, after that, we (and our friends, the married couple) went out for Thai (oohhhh yummy tofu and peanut-oil-based sauce!!) and then we went over to their place to watch 'A Mighty Wind' which I'd not seen before. I adored it! I've always loved those actors (I've seen 'Best in Show' too many times to count, and of course I adore Christopher Guest) I grew up with way too much folk music... one of my earliest memories was an Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger concert at Wolf Trap one summer. And of course Peter, Paul and Mary. That was SO my childhood. So this movie was just downright hilarious. I'm tempted to buy the soundtrack now... LOL!! *goes off to find my mp3 of Alice's Restaurant*

And then we watched one of The Muppet Show's on DVD... Gods I miss that show. It should be a law that that show never go off the air, I think. It was really original and adorable :-)
